INCLINATION DETECTING DEVICE, READING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF DETECTING INCLINATION
An inclination detecting device includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to detect, in image information that is an image of an object imaged by an imaging device at an imaging position where a background member forms a background, a first boundary between the background member and a shadow of the object at detection positions in at least one of main-scanning and sub-scanning directions on an outline of the object; detect a second boundary between the object and the shadow of the object at detection positions in at least one of the main-scanning and sub-scanning directions on the outline of the object in the image information; detect a boundary group including detection results of the second boundary at the detection positions; and detect an inclination of the object in the image information from detection results of the first boundary, the second boundary, and the boundary group.
Printing apparatus and determination method
A reflected light amount from a patch under a first light source is acquired, and a reflected light amount from the patch under a second light source whose wavelength band is different from the first light source is acquired. The type of a printing medium on which the patch is printed is determined based on the ratio of the two acquired reflected light amounts.
IMAGE INSPECTION DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, IMAGE INSPECTION METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image inspection device includes a hardware processor. The hardware processor (i) captures a read image from a reading device, (ii) compares a reference image and an inspection image obtained by reading a paper sheet targeted for inspection on which an image corresponding to the reference image has been formed with the reading device, to inspect the inspection image, (iii) sets a first alignment region having a predetermined width on a leading end side of each of the reference image and the inspection image in a conveyance direction, and sets a second alignment region having a predetermined width on a rear end side in the conveyance direction, and (iv) corrects the reference image on a basis of amounts of positional deviation of the first alignment region and the second alignment region.
AUTOMATED NAIL POLISH APPLICATION APPARATUS
A nail polish application apparatus, comprising a mounting element comprising a capsule compartment adapted to receive one or more capsules containing a nail polish fluid wherein the mounting element is moveable by actuator(s) in longitudinal axis crossing a nail polish applying space and in lateral axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and is rotatable by the actuator(s) around the longitudinal axis, a pressure applying element adapted to apply pressure on a body portion of the capsule(s) installed in the capsule compartment wherein the body portion defines a reservoir containing a nail polish fluid, the pressure builds an internal pressure in the reservoir forcing extrusion of the nail polish fluid to a nail polish applying element integrated with the capsule(s), sensor(s) adapted to generate sensory data depicting the nail polish applying space and a control unit adapted to operate the actuator(s) and the pressure according to analysis of the sensory data.
DOCUMENT READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A document reading device includes an image reading part, a document conveying part, an operation display part, an overlap detecting part and a controlling part. The overlap detecting part detects overlap of a document conveyed to the image reading part. When the overlap detecting part detects the overlap, if an overlap image corresponding to the overlap in the image data obtained by the image reading part matches with a predetermined preservation image, the controlling part decides that the overlap is not double feed to continue the scanning operation. If the overlap image does not match with the predetermined preservation image, the controlling part decides that the overlap is the double feed, stops the scanning operation, and, if user judgement that the overlap is not the double feed is inputted in accordance with operation of the operation display part, stores the preservation image on the basis of the overlap image.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus comprising: an original reading unit configured to read an image of each of multiple originals placed on an original table in batch by a batch-scan; a cropping unit configured to crop an image of each original from an entire image which is read by the batch-scan; an image output unit configured to output a cropped image of each original; and a control unit configured to control the original reading unit, the cropping unit, and the image output unit, wherein the control unit makes the original reading unit read the image by a batch-scan in which an image density of an edge of each original is supposed to be higher than an image density of a reading-area outside of the original, and an area to be cropped is determined on the basis of a difference in the image density between the edge and the reading-area outside of the original.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SCREEN DISPLAY METHOD BY IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
An image processing apparatus includes: an automatic document feeder; a document placement table; a document detector provided on at least one of the automatic document feeder and the document placement table, the document detector being configured to detect a document; and circuitry to cause a display to display one of a first screen that receives an input for selecting an orientation of a document placed on the automatic document feeder and a second screen that receives an input for selecting the orientation of the document placed on the document placement table, based on a detection result of the document detector.
IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE READING DEVICE, AND PROGRAM
An image reading device includes: an image reading part that is disposed opposite paper conveyed along a conveyance path, and reads an image formed on the paper; and a hardware processor that performs an abnormality detection operation of detecting an abnormality in the image reading part, based on a first read image and a second read image that is different from the first read image in paper position at image reading time in a paper width direction orthogonal to a paper conveyance direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, DOCUMENT READING DEVICE AND CONVEYANCE METHOD
An image forming apparatus comprises a tray, a conveyor, a detector and a movement mechanism. The tray accommodates at least one document. The conveyor conveys the document placed on the tray. The detector detects that the document is placed on the tray. The movement mechanism moves the tray from a first position to a second position closer to the conveyor than the first position based on the detection that the document is placed on the tray, and after moving the tray from the first position to the second position, moves the tray to the first position based on a setting of a mixed stacking mode in which mixing of the documents with different sizes on the tray is permitted.
