IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
Disclosed is an image reading apparatus including a reference member, a reader configured to read one of an original or the reference member, a mover configured to move the reader to a first region in which the original is read and a second region in which the reference member is read in a conveying direction of the original, and at least one processor configured to perform shading correction, wherein the at least one processor is configured to control the reader to move from outside of the second region to inside of the second region in the conveying direction to perform a first reading operation of reading the reference member within the second region.
DOCUMENT CONVEYING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF MOVING DOCUMENT LOADING TRAY TO STANDBY POSITION WHEN PREDETERMINED WAITING TIME HAS PASSED FROM TIME OF DETECTION OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENT ON DOCUMENT LOADING TRAY
A document conveying device includes an operation device, a document loading tray, a document detection sensor, a document ejection tray, a feed roller, a document conveying mechanism, an elevating mechanism, and a controller. Upon passage of a first waiting time from when the document detection sensor has detected any sheet of original document on the document loading tray, the controller allows the elevating mechanism to move the document loading tray to a standby position between upper and lower limit positions and stop the tray at the standby position. Upon acceptance of an instruction to read original document through the operation device, the controller allows the feed roller to feed a sheet of original document on the document loading tray, allows the document conveying mechanism to convey the fed sheet to a reading position, and allows the elevating mechanism to move up the document loading tray to the upper limit position.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming system includes: an image forming portion that forms an image on a paper; an image scanning portion that scans the image formed on the paper; and a processor that controls the image forming portion based on a scanned image obtained through scanning of the image scanning portion, in which the processor is configured to: specify, based on a first scanned image that is corresponding to a first image formed on a first paper by the image forming portion and that is obtained through scanning of the image scanning portion, a first deviation amount representing a magnitude of a deviation of the first image with respect to the first paper; specify a first correction amount for deviation correction applied when the first image is formed, based on first management information included in the first scanned image; calculate a second correction amount based on the first deviation amount and the first correction amount; embed second management information representing the second correction amount in a second image; and correct a position where the second image is formed on a second paper, according to the second correction amount.
Detecting output error using inline scanner
An example image forming apparatus that detects an error of an image formed on a printing medium, the apparatus includes a print engine, an inline scanner located at an output end of the print engine, and a processor. The processor is to obtain information of print data of a received print job, form an image on a printing medium based on the print data by using the print engine, obtain information of a print image of the printing medium on which the image is formed by using the inline scanner, detect whether normal output is performed by comparing the information of the print data with the information of the print image, and, in a case where the normal output is not detected, detect an output error and perform re-output.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GUIDING VOTER VISUAL BALLOT CHECKING INTERACTIONS
A method for enhancing visual inspection of a completed voting ballot includes receiving, by a central processing unit (CPU), the completed voting ballot, where the completed voting ballot includes one or more races, and where the completed voting ballot is an unsubmitted ballot that has not been finally submitted. The completed voting ballot is displayed on a display to a ballot checker, and a scan path is overlaid, by the CPU, over the completed voting ballot, where the scan path is determined by an optimal search strategy. Each of the one or more races on the completed voting ballot is scanned using the scan path, where one or more ballot error indicators of the optimal search strategy identifies at least one ballot error on the completed voting ballot. The at least one ballot error is signaled on the display to the ballot checker.
