An image forming apparatus, with a document cover open and in addition with no document placed on a contact glass, without performing printing operation, performs first test reading where the contact glass is read without a light source being turned on; thereafter, performs the printing operation, and performs second test reading where the contact glass is read without the light source being turned on. The image forming apparatus checks a flicker level based on a first comparison value calculated based on image data acquired in the first test reading and a second comparison value calculated based on image data acquired in the second test reading.

The present disclosure pertains to an image reading device that may include an image reader, an operation detector, a correction parameter adjuster, an entry detector, and a document reading controller. The image reader may read an image on a document. The operation detector may detect an operation indicating a start of a reading of the image on the document. The correction parameter adjuster may perform adjustment of a correction parameter. The entry detector may detect entry of a document reading instruction including a reading condition. The document reading controller may check for completion of the adjustment of the correction parameter for the reading condition. If the adjustment of the correction parameter is not completed, the document reading controller may instruct the correction parameter adjuster to perform adjustment of an uncompleted correction parameter and instruct the image reader to read the image.

Example embodiments of the present disclosure include image processing apparatus installed with a web browser that includes circuitry and an image processing device. The circuitry interprets content obtained from a web server connected to the image processing apparatus via a network, displays a screen based on the interpreted content, requests the web server to process according to a user input on the displayed screen, and requests the image processing device to perform predetermined image processing.

An image reading apparatus comprising: an original reading unit configured to read an image of each of multiple originals placed on an original table in batch by a batch-scan; a cropping unit configured to crop an image of each original from an entire image which is read by the batch-scan; an image output unit configured to output a cropped image of each original; and a control unit configured to control the original reading unit, the cropping unit, and the image output unit, wherein the control unit makes the original reading unit read the image by a batch-scan in which an image density of an edge of each original is supposed to be lower than an image density of a reading-area outside of the original, and an area to be cropped is determined on the basis of a difference in the image density between the edge and the reading-area outside of the original.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a display unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller causes, before printing an image, the display unit to reduce and display, with respect to each of setting items for printing, images to each of which a processing indicated by one of the setting items is applied. An image reading apparatus includes a shooter where a first mounting surface that is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane is formed thereon, a stacker, a supporting unit that movably supports the stacker in such a manner that the stacker is arranged in a first region or a second region, a conveyance unit that conveys a document from the shooter to the stacker when the stacker is arranged in the first region, and a reading unit that reads an image from the document when the document is conveyed by the conveyance unit, wherein a surface area of a region of the first mounting surface that is covered by the stacker when the stacker is arranged in the first region is greater as compared with that when the stacker is arranged in the second region, and the stacker is formed to be capable of being lengthened or shortened.

Disclosed is an image processing apparatus, including a receiver that receives a setting of a job; a reader that optically reads an original; a memory that stores the image data; and a hardware processor that instructs the external device to store the image data to be edited, and edits the image data page by page by using the page edit function of the external device, wherein when a temporary storing job for temporarily storing the image data in the memory is executed, the hardware processor judges whether a setting of a setting item for an edit of the image data page by page is changed, and in case that the setting of the setting item is changed, the hardware processor carries out a preceding transmission process in which the image data stored in the memory is transmitted to the external device and is stored in the external device.

A color adjustment system includes circuitry to register job data for requesting printing a document file in a memory, register color sample data associated with the job data in the memory, cause a printing apparatus to print out the document file corresponding to the job data as a first printed matter, cause a reading apparatus to read the first printed matter to acquire first read image data, and generate an input profile based on the first read image data and the color sample data.

In an image forming apparatus a controller receives user instruction information for printing a test chart, controls a printer to print the test chart on a sheet regardless of a result of reading mode selection, controls a display to display a screen for selecting a reading mode for reading the test chart among a plurality of reading modes, and controls a conveyance roller and a reading sensor to read the test chart on the sheet while conveying a stacked sheet in a case where a first reading mode is selected on the screen. The controller also controls the reading sensor to read the test chart on the sheet on a platen in a case where a second reading mode is selected on the screen, and controls density of the image to be printed by the printer based on a reading result of the test chart by the reading sensor.
