An image processing apparatus, which has an input unit configured to input image data and which is communicably connected to an external apparatus via a network, includes an obtaining unit configured to obtain a document with a predetermined form that includes a request for input of image data, via the network from the external apparatus; a display unit configured to display, in the event of displaying a screen corresponding to the document obtained by the obtaining unit, a screen including a display object based on the predetermined form, the display object to instruct inputting of image data by the input unit; a determining unit configured to determine whether or not to display the display object on the display unit; and a control unit configured to control the display of the display object by the display unit, according to determination results of the determining unit.

An image reading apparatus according to an embodiment includes an image reading unit that generates reference data by reading a reference surface and generates image data by reading a sheet. A reference plate includes the reference surface for generating the reference data for shading correction of the image reading unit and a background surface for background of a sheet to be read to generate the image data. A control unit controls the positions of the image reading unit and the reference plate to be at a first position relative to each other when the reference data is to be generated and at a second position relative to each other when the image data is to be generated. The second position is different from the first position. A shading correction unit performs the shading correction in the image reading unit based on the generated reference data.

An image reading apparatus according to an embodiment includes an image reading unit that generates reference data by reading a reference surface and generates image data by reading a sheet. A reference plate includes the reference surface for generating the reference data for shading correction of the image reading unit and a background surface for background of a sheet to be read to generate the image data. A control unit controls the positions of the image reading unit and the reference plate to be at a first position relative to each other when the reference data is to be generated and at a second position relative to each other when the image data is to be generated. The second position is different from the first position. A shading correction unit performs the shading correction in the image reading unit based on the generated reference data.

A media conveying apparatus includes circuitry configured to set setting information regarding an input image generation process, a conveyor to convey a plurality of media sequentially, and an imager to image each of the plurality of media sequentially conveyed by the conveyor according to the setting information to obtain an input image. The circuitry determines, based on the input image, whether the setting information is compatible with the medium imaged in the input image; and calculates a degree of the number of media for which the setting information is determined to be incompatible among the plurality of media. When the degree is greater than a threshold, the circuitry stops conveying subsequent media and outputs information on a result of determining whether the setting information is compatible with the medium imaged in the input image.

There is provided a non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program for a computer of an information processing apparatus, the program causing the computer of the information processing apparatus to carry out: acquiring an image data as a print object; generating a print data, which is an image data for printing, after determining whether or not to change a direction of the acquired image data based on a double-side print setting, and changing the direction of the image data in a case in which the image data is determined to change the direction; generating a preview data, which is an image data for previewing, from the print data after rechanging the once-changed direction of the image data in a case in which the print data is generated after changing the direction of the image data; and displaying the generated preview data onto the information processing apparatus.

An image reading apparatus includes: a reading unit comprising a light source, a sensor configured to receive light reflected by a document and output an analog signal, and a converter configured to convert the analog signal into a digital signal, and a controller.
