Decoloring apparatus and method
A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit positioned downstream of the scanner, a user interface, and a controller. The user interface includes a resolution setting section configured to receive input for setting the resolution of the image to be scanned by the scanner, and a processing mode setting section configured to receive input for setting whether to execute scanning processing by the scanner and for setting whether to execute decoloring processing by the decoloring unit. The controller is configured to control contents of the user interface and to perform a mode limiting processing so that when one of the scanning processing and decoloring processing is set to be executed, the other of the scanning processing and decoloring processing cannot be set to be executed.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND DISPLAY CONTROL METHOD
According to an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes: a job executor which executes a job according to a mode; a storage which stores, as history information, a setting history of the job; a display which allows a reception image, which receives an instruction to call the history information that has been stored, to be displayed; and a controller which performs, during execution of the job, display control of the reception image according to the mode.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a mode setting unit in which a value indicating whether a scanning device is for simplex scanning or duplex scanning is set up, an interface unit that controls whether to enable signal exchange with an external memory based on the value set up in the mode setting unit, and a transfer unit that retrieves image data from the external memory and transfers the image data to an image processing unit. When the value in the mode setting unit indicates that the scanning device is for duplex scanning, the interface unit enables signal exchange with the external memory, and the transfer unit transfers the image data retrieved from the external memory to the image processing unit. When the value in the mode setting unit indicates that the scanning device is for simplex scanning, the interface unit prohibits signal exchange with the external memory.
Image reading apparatus that reads by intended read size and image processing apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a read size determination circuit. The read size determination circuit has a plurality of operation mode including a first mode and a second mode. The first mode determines the size of the document detected by the first document reading unit as a first read size and determines a read size of the document set in advance as a second read size. The first read size is the read size of the document when the first document reading unit reads the document. The second mode determines the size of the document detected by the first document reading unit as the first read size. If the second document reading unit reads the document, the second mode determines the read size of the document set in the setting screen as the second read size when a start instruction of a reading job is entered using the operation circuit.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a document conveyance portion, an image reading portion that performs feed reading-in in which a document as conveyed is read or table reading-in in which a document on a table is read, a job execution portion that, based on image data, performs a job, an operation panel that accepts setting of a destination, and a control portion. In a continuous read-in mode, the control portion performs control so that reading-in of a document as placed is continuously performed until an input to end reading-in is made. When an automatic continuous read-in condition is satisfied, the control portion performs control so that the image reading portion and the job execution portion automatically operate in the continuous read-in mode. The automatic continuous read-in condition is that table reading-in has been started in a state where a destination corresponding to a particular transmission method is set.
IMAGE SCANNING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR, AND MULTIFUNCTION APPARATUS
An image scanning apparatus comprises: a first image scanning unit that performs image scanning of a first surface of an original; a second image scanning unit that performs image scanning of a second surface of the original; and a control unit that controls output channels for outputting analog signals from the first image scanning unit, wherein the control unit changes, between a case of single-sided scanning and a case of both-sided scanning, the output channels of the analog signals output from a part of scanning region in a plurality of scanning regions of the first image scanning unit, and changes, between a case of single-sided scanning and a case of both-sided scanning, the number of output channels for outputting the analog signals from the first image scanning unit.
Decoloring apparatus and method
A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit, and a controller. The decoloring unit decolors the image on the sheet conveyed through the sheet conveying unit. The decoloring unit is positioned downstream of the scanner in a sheet conveying direction. A distance along the sheet conveying direction between the scanner and the decoloring unit is shorter than a length of a first predetermined sheet size and longer than a length of a second predetermined sheet size. A controller determines whether the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying unit is the first predetermined sheet size or the second predetermined sheet size. The controller performs a mode limiting process if the sheet size is determined to be the first predetermined sheet size.
IMAGE-READING DEVICE HAVING CONFIGURABLE MULTI-MODE ILLUMINATION AND MONOCHROME COLOR IMAGE CAPTURE AND RELATED METHODS
An image-reading device, such as optical code readers used in retail environments to scan objects, is configured to select from various operational modes. The operational modes are selected based on an application of the image-reading device, such as optical code identification or image recognition. Red, white, and other color light sources are activated in patterns corresponding to an illumination sequence of the selected operational mode, while imagers are activated to capture an image based on an exposure pattern of the selected operational mode. Further, a repeating series of light pulses having different portions of light is provided. Various imagers are configured to capture images over one of the portions. This allows an operator to perceive one continuous light pattern, yet allows various imagers to capture an image under different light conditions used for different applications of the image-reading device.
Image forming apparatus, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
A method of controlling an image forming apparatus having an image reading unit capable of conveying and reading a plurality of documents of different sizes includes determining whether an automatic magnification function is set in a case where an instruction to read a plurality of documents of different sizes is given, and performing control such that, in a case where the determining determines that the automatic magnification function is not set, a first document reading mode in which the plurality of documents is conveyed at a constant conveyance speed and is read is set to the image reading unit, and, in a case where the determining determines that the automatic magnification function is set, a second document reading mode in which the plurality of documents is conveyed at a different conveyance speed for each document and is read is set to the image reading unit.
Control method for an apparatus for controlling a reading apparatus and storage medium
A control method for an apparatus for controlling a reading apparatus that performs reading in a transmission mode includes a read controlling step, a generating step and a processing step. In a read controlling step, the reading apparatus is controlled to read at least one film in the transmission mode based on a reading instruction from operating system standard software. In a generating step, a display image is generated, in which at least one frame image is arranged, based on a read image obtained by the reading in the read controlling step. In a processing step, a processing for displaying the display image generated in the generating step by using the operating system standard software, is executed.
