IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus comprises a first reading unit configured to output an analog signal by reading an original, a second reading unit different from the first reading unit, a conversion unit configured to convert analog signals outputted from the first reading unit and the second reading unit to digital signals, a wire connection control unit configured to control wire connection between the first reading unit and the second reading unit, and the conversion unit, and an output control unit configured to control an output of an analog signal from the first reading unit.
DUPLEX SCAN INDICATIVE SCANNER, SCANNING APPARATUS AND SCANNING METHOD
A duplex scan indicative scanner includes a sheet passage, a transporting mechanism, one single scanning module, a duplex indicator and a connection interface. The transporting mechanism transports a document past the sheet passage. The scanning module scans a first side of the document passing through the sheet passage. The connection interface is electrically connected to an electronic device, the duplex indicator, the transporting mechanism and the scanning module. After the electronic device has controlled, through the connection interface, the scanning module to scan the first side, the electronic device controls, through the connection interface, the duplex indicator to output a duplex indication message to guide a user to place the document or a second document, so that a second side of the document or the second document is scanned by the scanning module. A duplex scan indicative scanning apparatus and a duplex scan indicative scanning method are also provided.
Decoloring apparatus and method
A decoloring apparatus includes a sheet conveying unit, a scanner, a decoloring unit, and a controller. The decoloring unit decolors the image on the sheet conveyed through the sheet conveying unit. The decoloring unit is positioned downstream of the scanner in a sheet conveying direction. A distance along the sheet conveying direction between the scanner and the decoloring unit is shorter than a length of a first predetermined sheet size and longer than a length of a second predetermined sheet size. A controller determines whether the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying unit is the first predetermined sheet size or the second predetermined sheet size. The controller performs a mode limiting process if the sheet size is determined to be the first predetermined sheet size.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE
An image processing device includes: an estimated size setting section (ACS determination section 151) which sets a document size of a document sheet as an estimated size; a threshold deciding section (ACS determination section 151) which decides a first threshold according to the estimated size; and an ACS determination section (151) which determines that the document sheet is a color document sheet when a number of color pixels reaches the first threshold. When an actual size of the document sheet is smaller than the estimated size, the threshold deciding section decides a second threshold which is smaller than the first threshold, and the document sheet is determined to be a color document sheet when the number of color pixels is the second threshold or greater and is determined to be a black-and-white document sheet when the number of color pixels is smaller than the second threshold.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE, IMAGE READING DEVICE, NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE PROGRAM, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE
An image forming device includes: an image forming unit that forms an image on a transfer medium; and a controller that controls multiple image readers capable of performing image reading for the same surface of the transfer medium, and acquires reading results from the image readers. The controller is capable of performing failure/no-failure determination for the image on the transfer medium based on the reading results, of switching image reading by the multiple image readers between reading by a first number of image readers and reading by a second number of image readers, the second number being smaller than the first number, and of enabling, while the second number of image readers perform reading, at least one of the other image readers to execute a maintenance operation for the at least one of the other image readers.

Server and mobile device for an information processing system
According to one embodiment, an information processing method includes instructing a multifunction peripheral performing scanning and printing to perform setting regarding scanning, transmitting a scan signal for performing scanning to the multifunction peripheral, instructing the multifunction peripheral to perform setting regarding printing, and transmitting a print signal for printing a scan image obtained through scanning to the multifunction peripheral.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a document tray on which a document is stacked; a conveyance unit configured to convey the document stacked on the document tray; a reader configured to read the image of the document conveyed by the conveyance unit using a sensor. The sensor includes a first light receiving element row having a plurality of light receiving elements, which receives light of a first color, arranged in a main scanning direction; and a second light receiving element row having a plurality of light receiving elements, which receives light of a second color, arranged in the main scanning direction, wherein the first light receiving element row and the second light receiving element row are arranged in a sub-scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction. The image reading apparatus further includes a setting unit and a determination unit.
Image-reading device having configurable multi-mode illumination sequences and monochrome color image capture sequences and related methods
An image-reading device, such as optical code readers used in retail environments to scan objects, is configured to select from various operational modes. The operational modes are selected based on an application of the image-reading device, such as optical code identification or image recognition. Red, white, and other color light sources are activated in patterns corresponding to an illumination sequence of the selected operational mode, while imagers are activated to capture an image based on an exposure pattern of the selected operational mode. Further, a repeating series of light pulses having different portions of light is provided. Various imagers are configured to capture images over one of the portions. This allows an operator to perceive one continuous light pattern, yet allows various imagers to capture an image under different light conditions used for different applications of the image-reading device.
Image processing apparatus having functions including scan function, control method thereof, and storage medium storing program for executing control method
An image processing apparatus that executes jobs in parallel using a small number of resources. A controller includes an image processor that applies an image process to image data. A scanner controller includes storage for storing image data generated by scanning a document with a scanner and transfers the image data stored to the controller through a data bus. A processor executes instructions to set a frequency of an image transfer clock to a first frequency when a first job including a process that transfers image data generated by scanning documents to the controller is executed alone, and set the frequency of the image transfer clock to a second frequency lower than the first frequency when the first job is executed in parallel to a second job including an image process. The frequency of the image transfer clock is maintained at the second frequency until finishing the first job.
