An image forming apparatus includes a paper feed section and a processing section. The paper feed section stores paper. The processing section executes a decoloring processing for decolorizing an undecolored paper stored in the paper feed section, and issues a warning indicating that the paper stored in the paper feed section is taken out when the decoloring processing is stopped, or does not issue the warning when the decoloring processing is completed.

A multi-functional printing (MFP) includes a scan privacy tool to allow edits and changes to a document image to remove or hide private information within a document. The scan privacy tool is enabled for jobs on the MFP device and launches when a print job is run. The document is sent from a device or retrieved from memory storage. The document image displayed on a display and edit interface of the scan privacy tool. Changes are made to the document image using tools available through the scan privacy tool. The changes are applied to the document image. The modified image is saved and transmitted to an engine in the MFP device to complete the print job.

An image formation system includes: an encoded image generation device including a first processor that generates print data from manuscript data, sets security information for controlling a print mode of the print data, and generates an encoded image from the print data and the security information; and an image formation device including a second processor that inputs the encoded image, decodes the print data and the security data from the input encoded image, determines whether an output of the decoded print data is available in accordance with the decoded security information, and outputs the decoded print data when it is determined that the output of the print data is available.

A print control apparatus includes a memory, a print processing unit, and an erase processing unit. The memory stores one or more pieces of print data each representing print content and being subjected to a print process. The print processing unit performs the print process for a piece of print data stored in the memory, and generates a piece of post-process data that represents print content. The erase processing unit moves, to a trash or a deletion folder, a piece of data for which the print process has been performed among one or more pieces of data stored in the print processing unit, and performs an erase process for a storage area of the piece of data that has been moved, the erase process being a process of data overwriting and being performed in parallel with the print process that is performed for another piece of print data.

An electronic device to operate a camera in a private mode and non-private mode is provided. The electronic device includes a user interface (UI) including a first UI component and a second UI component, and an electronic processor coupled to the UI and the camera. The electronic processor controls the camera to be operated in a private mode in response to detecting an input selecting the first UI component, and a non-private mode in response to detecting an input selecting the second UI component. The electronic processor also tags the images captured in private mode as private images and non-private mode as non-private images. The electronic processor further applies different access policies for accessing the private and non-private images. Further, the first and second UI component are generated as graphical user interface components within a touch screen display of the electronic device.

A secured document with a security architecture having a plurality of security elements for authentication, wherein at least one security element is printed indicia that is magnetizable and not visible within a visible spectrum. Verifiable document security systems including a validation center that performs a verification cycle to verify transaction data between an issuer and a recipient and generates a security architecture having a plurality of security elements for printing on a document, wherein the verification cycle is performed before and after printing a document with the security elements; and a printer with an ink suite communicatively coupled to the validation center and configured to print the security architecture on the document.

An electronic apparatus which prevents and/or reduces photographing of contents is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a camera and a processor configured to cause the electronic apparatus to turn off the display and/or control a display to display a UI for restricting photographing of the content in response to a predetermined object being detected in an image received by the camera.

The read information obtaining unit obtains read information read from an authentication medium by a reading device.
