A user interface device displays an execution screen of an application, to which a user is logged in with an identification (ID) of the user, and receives an input of capturing the execution screen. A processor determines an authority of the ID of the user to capture the execution screen by comparing a security level of the execution screen set based on the data displayed on the execution screen and a security level of the user set with respect to the ID of the user. The processor, in response to the input, controls the capturing of the execution screen, based on the determined authority of the ID of the first user.

An image forming apparatus that forms an image on paper in accordance with a printing job includes: a communication unit that receives meeting information concerning a meeting; a storage unit that stores the meeting information received by the communication unit; an editing control unit that edits the meeting information stored in the storage unit in accordance with an execution time of the printing job; an operation display unit that freely outputs images or voices captured in the meeting based on the meeting information edited by the editing control unit; and an output control unit that controls output of the images or voices captured in the meeting and output from the operation display unit, wherein the output control unit finishes output of the images or voices captured in the meeting and output from the operation display unit before completion of the printing job.

A multi-functional printing (MFP) includes a scan privacy tool to allow edits and changes to a document image to remove or hide private information within a document. The scan privacy tool is enabled for jobs on the MFP device and launches when a print job is run. The document is sent from a device or retrieved from memory storage. The document image displayed on a display and edit interface of the scan privacy tool. Changes are made to the document image using tools available through the scan privacy tool. The changes are applied to the document image. The modified image is saved and transmitted to an engine in the MFP device to complete the print job.

An image forming apparatus that executes a password-protected job includes a function for omitting an input of a job password, manages a user password for keyboard authentication in association with a user, manages a personal identification number for icon authentication in association with the user, accepts login to an account of the user based on the keyboard authentication, permits execution of a password-protected print job associated with the user based on a print instruction without inputting a job password, accepts login to the account of the user based on the icon authentication, and permits execution of a password-protected print job associated with the user based on a print instruction with an input of a job password.

An image forming apparatus has an image reading portion generating document image data, a job execution portion executing a job based on the document image data, a control portion controlling the job execution portion, and a storage portion storing a registered signature image. The control portion determines the degree of match between a document signature image present in the document image data and the registered signature image. The control portion permits execution of the job when the degree of match is equal to or higher than a first threshold value and inhibits execution of the job when the degree of match is lower than the first threshold value.

An information processing apparatus includes a setting unit, a detector and a controller. The setting unit sets setting information associating a registered image obtained by reading an image with control information indicating whether input image data is to be stored or not. The detector detects the registered image from the input image data. The controller controls whether or not the input image data including the registered image is stored in a storage based on the setting information.

An image forming apparatus includes a paper feed section and a processing section. The paper feed section stores paper. The processing section executes a decoloring processing for decolorizing an undecolored paper stored in the paper feed section, and issues a warning indicating that the paper stored in the paper feed section is taken out when the decoloring processing is stopped, or does not issue the warning when the decoloring processing is completed.
