CONTROL SYSTEM, MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT PERFORM CONTROL WHEN ABNORMALITY OCCURS IN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A control system includes: image forming apparatuses at least one of which is installed in each of a plurality of areas in a building; a management apparatus; and alarms that are each provided for each of the areas, respectively. The management apparatus manages security of the building including the plurality of areas, detects an abnormal high temperature occurrence area by identifying the area in which the image forming apparatus from which the abnormal high temperature is detected is installed when the abnormal high temperature is detected in the image forming apparatus, and transmits a report command notification for reporting that the abnormal high temperature has occurred in the area in which an alarm is provided to the alarm which is provided in the abnormal high temperature occurrence area.
CONTROL DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND START-UP METHOD THEREOF
A control device includes a main storage device, an auxiliary storage device, and a control unit. The auxiliary storage device is configured to store a first hibernation image and a second hibernation image, which respectively indicate a stored content of the main storage device. The control unit is configured to start a computer by loading the first hibernation image to the main storage device and subsequently loading the second hibernation image to the main storage device when the computer is turned on. The first hibernation image does not include connection information indicating a connection state of the device. The second hibernation image includes the connection information indicating the connection state.
Information processing apparatus capable of stopping power feed to nonvolatile storage portion, power feed control method
An information processing apparatus includes first and second power feed control portions and a storage processing portion. The first power feed control portion stops power feed to a nonvolatile first storage portion when reading or writing data from/to the first storage portion is completed. In a case where power feed to the first storage portion is stopped, the storage processing portion stores specific data among data stored in the first storage portion into a second storage portion. When an access request for accessing data in the first storage portion has been received: when access-target data specified in the access request is not stored in the second storage portion, the second power feed control portion resumes power feed to the first storage portion; and when the access-target data is stored in the second storage portion, does not resume the power feed to the first storage portion.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND NOTIFICATION CONTROL METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a main CPU, and, in an unused period in which the image forming apparatus is not used, the main CPU detects whether or not a person exists within a human detection range, on the basis of an output of a human detection sensor. When a person has been detected, by outputting a notification voice regarding an intruder, which indicates that the intruder has been detected, from a speaker, the main CPU notifies the surroundings of the image forming apparatus and also transmits an electronic mail including a message indicating that the intruder has been detected to an address that has been registered in advance and thereby notifies a user of a terminal of the address of the detection of the intruder.
Information processing apparatus that controls power supply to different destinations, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An information processing apparatus capable of properly supplying electric power to a power supply destination associated with each function of a USB device. An MFP as the information processing apparatus is capable of operating in a power saving mode. A USB device having both of a Bluetooth communication function and a wireless LAN communication function is connected to the MFP. When an instruction for returning from the power saving mode is received from the USB device, it is determined whether the return instruction is an instruction generated due to the Bluetooth communication function or an instruction generated due to the wireless LAN communication function. Electric power supply destinations to which electric power is to be supplied when the information processing apparatus returns from the power saving mode are decided based on a result of the determination.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THEREOF, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes a detection unit configured to detect an object, a reception unit configured to receive an operation of a user, and a shifting unit configured to shift, if the detection unit detects an object, a power state of the image forming apparatus from a first power state to a second power state different from the first power state, and shift, if the reception unit receives an operation of a user, the power state of the image forming apparatus from the second power state to the first power state.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD OF NOTIFYING VERIFICATION RESULT OF PROGRAM
An information processing apparatus includes a control unit, a storage unit configured to store a program to be executed by the control unit, a verification unit configured to read the program from the storage unit and to verify the read program, and a light-emitting unit configured to be changed to a predetermined light-emitting state or to be changed from the predetermined light-emitting state based on a result of the verification of the program by the verification unit.
Image forming apparatus that determines whether to shift between multiple states
An image forming apparatus includes a communication interface configured to communicate with a portable terminal capable of receiving a signal from a transmitter in a detection area. A processor of the apparatus is configured to determine whether to shift to an operable state from a sleep state based on user information contained in proximity information when the proximity information, containing the user information indicating that a user enters the detection area, is received by the communication interface from the portable terminal receiving a signal from the transmitter.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus switches between a plurality of standby states differing in power consumption and operates accordingly. The image forming apparatus includes an interface, a specific operation section, and a controller. The interface is connectable to an external storage medium. The specific operation section performs a plurality of specific operations. The controller directs, based on a filename extension of data stored in the external storage medium, the specific operation section to operate. The standby states include a first standby state and a second standby state. The power consumption is higher in the second standby state than in the first standby state. The second standby state is a state in which the controller controls and activates the specific operation section to set the specific operation section to be ready to perform at least one of the specific operations.
Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and reading medium that ensure efficient use of weekly timer
An image forming method includes operating, receiving, and setting. The operating includes operating in an operation mode of a plurality of operation modes. The operation modes includes a first electric power mode configured to perform an image formation process and a second electric power mode configured to consume a power less than a power of the first electric power mode and not to perform the image formation process. The receiving includes receiving a print job. The setting includes switching the operation mode to the second electric power mode after a lapse of a preset first standby period after a completion of the print job. When the print job including a sleep transition command is received in the second time slot, the switching includes switching the operation mode to the second electric power mode before the lapse of the first standby period.
