The controller is configured to determine whether or not an immediate execution mode in which no user operation is needed to cause the scanner to start scanning is set, and in case the immediate execution mode is determined to be set, determine whether or not a scan start condition is satisfied. An image scanning apparatus that is capable of executing control about an interrupt scan without using another apparatus. The image scanning apparatus includes a scanner and a controller. The scanner scans a document. The controller determines whether interrupt execution of a second scan that is different from a first scan is permitted based on a setting relevant to the first scan that is being executed. The scanner executes the second scan after suspending the first scan in a case where the interrupt execution of the second scan is permitted, and the scanner restarts the first scan after executing the second scan.

An image forming apparatus, having a medium storage, a medium conveyer, an image forming device, a user input interface, and a controller, is provided. The controller operates the image forming device and the medium conveyer to perform a first action to form an image composed of image data in an area on a sheet-formed medium from one side of the image in a lengthwise direction, which corresponds to the predetermined conveying direction. A video recording system improves the control and monitoring of body worn cameras, such as those worn by police. The system may communicate through a private radio network. Body worn cameras of the system begin recording video upon being disconnected from a camera dock. A mobile device may be associated with the camera and have a recording management application. The controller may synchronize settings for the camera with the recording management application, and the mobile device has no administrative control over the application.
