System and method for constructing document image from snapshots taken by image sensor panel
In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a system and a method for constructing a document image from snapshots of portions of a subject document taken by a two-dimensional image sensor panel. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides a mobile electronic device comprising: an image sensor panel; a non-transitory computer readable memory; and a processor configured to: capture a sequence of frames from the image sensor panel, identify corresponding features in said sequence of frames, combine said sequence of frames into a resultant image such that the corresponding features are spatially collocated in the resultant image, and record the resultant image to the memory.
READING APPARATUS
A reading apparatus includes an image sensor provided at a terminal end of an optical path, a diaphragm that restricts a quantity of light traveling along the optical path, a concave mirror provided adjacent to and on an upstream side of the diaphragm in the optical path and forms a portion of the optical path, and a convex mirror provided on the upstream side of the concave mirror in the optical path and forms another portion of the optical path.
Optical member and image reading device
An optical member includes a lens array including lens bodies, and transmissive members. The transmissive members are made of a material having a uniform refractive index, and are disposed at positions nearer an object-to-be-read than the corresponding lens bodies are disposed or at positions farther from the object-to-be-read than the corresponding lens bodies are disposed. The transmissive members have a columnar shape extending along the optical axes of the lens bodies, and allow light incident through one end faces to exit through the other end faces. At least either ones of the lens bodies or the transmissive members are arranged with distances therebetween larger than errors in the arrangement of the lens bodies and the transmissive members.
Image reading apparatus and control method thereof for determining presence or absence of a document
An image reading apparatus includes a document table, a pressing plate that rotates about a rotation axis between an open position and a closed position, a line sensor that includes an image sensor arranged in a main scanning direction intersecting the rotation axis and outputs data by reading a document on the document table, and a control unit that determines presence or absence of the document based on first data acquired by the line sensor when the pressing plate is in an intermediate position before reaching the closed position and second data acquired by the line sensor when the pressing plate is in the closed position, wherein when the control unit determines the presence or absence of the document based on the first data and the second data, the control unit uses coefficient data that is smaller as a distance from the rotation axis is longer.
