REGISTRATION OF INDIVIDUAL 3D FRAMES
A three-dimensional (3D) measuring system that includes an external projector and an imager device. The imager device having a projector, a first camera and a second camera. The system further having one or more processors operably coupled to the display, the projector, the first camera and the second camera. The processors are responsive to executable computer instructions when executed on the one or more processors for projecting one or more random patterns on an object, recording one or more stereo images of the object, estimating a position and orientation of an imager device and registering scan data generated from the estimated position and orientation of the imager device into a coordinate system.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes an optical unit through which a light from a document passes, an image sensor configured to receive the light from the document via the optical unit, and a first holding member configured to hold the optical unit and the image sensor. The first holding member has an opening and a second holding member is fitted in the opening. The optical unit is disposed on the second holding member and the second holding member is positioned with respect to the first holding member with a gap between the first holding member and the second holding member and fixed to the first holding member by an adhesive that fills the gap.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly and a unit detachably mountable to the main assembly. The main assembly includes a positioning portion. The unit includes a portion-to-be-positioned engaging with the positioning portion and a grip portion configured to be gripped by a user when the unit is demounted from the main assembly. The main assembly further includes an inclined surface provided immediately in front of the positioning portion with respect to a mounting direction of the unit to the main assembly and configured to guide the portion-to-be-positioned to the positioning portion. The grip portion includes a grip surface configured to receive a force exerted in a pulling-out direction of the unit by the user when the user pulls out the unit from the main assembly. The grip surface and the inclined surface form an angle of substantially not less than 90.

During execution of the accuracy priority mode, when a time from start of a rotation of the registration roller pair to detection of a leading edge of a sheet by the detection unit is a first time, a time from the detection of the leading edge to reach of a conveyance speed to the second speed is a second time, and, when a time from the start of the rotation to the detection of the leading edge is a third time, the time from the detection of the leading edge to the reach of the conveyance speed to the second speed is a fourth time, the third time is longer than the first time and the fourth time is shorter than the second time.
