READING MODULE AND IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THEREWITH
A reading module has a light source, an optical system imaging, as image light, reflected light of the light radiated from the light source to the document, and a sensor converting the image light imaged by the optical system into an electrical signal. The optical system has a mirror array in which reflection mirrors are coupled together in an array in the main scanning direction and an aperture stop portion having a first aperture adjusting the amount of image light reflected from a reflection mirror and a second aperture shielding stray light that enters the first aperture from an adjacent reflection mirror. The second aperture is arranged at such a position as to be able to shield stray light passing through a boundary between the reflection mirrors and the center of the first aperture when the mirror array contracts to the maximum extent in the main scanning direction.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
This image processing apparatus includes a first determination section, a first control section, a second determination section, and a second control section. If the first determination section determines that there are images whose outer shapes are not rectangular, the first control section performs control operations to connect edges of the images to combine the images. The second determination section determines whether the outer shape of the combined image, which is made of the images combined by the first control section, is rectangular or whether the combined image is bilaterally symmetric with respect to a predetermined line passing through the center of the combined image. If the second determination section determines that the outer shape of the combined image is rectangular or that the combined image is bilaterally symmetric, the second control unit performs control operations to produce a composite image of the images with the edges connected to each other.
Image scanner apparatus and recording medium
There is provided an image scanner apparatus, including: a platen; a carriage including an image sensor that captures an image of a script on the platen; an antenna unit on the carriage; and a controller circuit that controls the carriage to move in a forward way and a backward way in a sub-scanning direction over the platen, detects a position of an NFC (Near Field Communication) tag on the script in the sub-scanning direction via the antenna unit, and then detects a position of the NFC tag in a main-scanning direction via the antenna unit.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a medium reading unit that extends in a main scanning direction and reads an image of a medium while moving in a sub-scanning direction which is a direction crossing the main scanning direction; a signal transmission cable that is a flexible cable having a curved section and connected to the medium reading unit and that deforms following a movement of the medium reading unit; a power supply that supplies power to the medium reading unit; and a housing that accommodates the medium reading unit and the power supply. At least a portion of an insertion/extraction space for inserting/extracting a plug of a power cable from outside the housing to the power supply and at least a portion of an area where the signal transmission cable deforms following the movement of the medium reading unit overlap in a height direction of the medium reading unit.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes: a contact glass provided at an upper surface of a main body of the apparatus to set a manuscript thereon, an image sensor being positioned below the contact glass and having a reading surface on contact glass side for reading an image from the manuscript on the contact glass, a carriage supporting the image sensor accommodated in a sensor container formed to have a recess open to the contact glass side, a rail member slidably supporting the carriage, and a biasing member biasing the image sensor to the contact glass side via a biased portion adjacent to the reading surface of the image sensor. An upper end of the biasing member is positioned below the contact glass and above the lower surface of the image sensor.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes a light emitting element, a luminance calculating unit, a light amount setting unit, and a storing unit. The light amount setting unit, in each line period, causes the light emitting element to emit a light with gradually changing a reference light amount from a reference light amount set as a default value from among a plurality of reference light amounts stored in the storing unit, identifies a reference light amount so that the luminance calculated by the luminance calculating unit is within a predetermined range, sets the identified reference light amount as a default value for the next line period, and causes the storing unit to store that reference light amount.
Image reader having document detector for detecting presence or absence of document sheet to determine reading range
In an image reader, a controller control, during a period from a timing when a detector detects an open state of a cover to a timing when the detector detects a closed state of the cover, a document detector to detect whether a document sheet is present or absent every time a prescribed time period is elapsed, and stores in a memory each set of first data indicating absence or presence of the document sheet. The controller determines a first size of the document sheet in a main scanning direction. The controller determines a second size of the document sheet in a sub scanning direction on the basis of the sets of first data. The controller determines a reading range on the basis of the first and second sizes. The reading section reads the determined reading range on the line-to-line basis to obtain an image of the document sheet.
Scan area indication
An apparatus may include a transparent platen, a command interface, a scanner unit, a controller and an indicator. The command interface is to receive externally originating instructions including a selected scaling value, other than 100%, for a scanning operation of a document resting against the transparent platen, wherein contents of the document to be scanned are proportionally magnified or shrunk based on the selected scaling value The controller controls a scanner unit to capture a portion of the transparent platen, the portion having borders automatically determined and proportionally changed by the controller based upon the selected scaling value. The indicator provides a visible indication of the portion.
Scanner platen
A scanner is disclosed. The scanner has a platen with at least one edge of the platen uncovered.
IMAGE SCANNER APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
There is provided an image scanner apparatus, including: a platen; a carriage including an image sensor that captures an image of a script on the platen; an antenna unit on the carriage; and a controller circuit that controls the carriage to move in a forward way and a backward way in a sub-scanning direction over the platen, detects a position of an NFC (Near Field Communication) tag on the script in the sub-scanning direction via the antenna unit, and then detects a position of the NFC tag in a main-scanning direction via the antenna unit.
