Information reading device
An information reading device that optically reads information recorded on an information recording medium may include a transparent placement member; a first illumination light a second illumination light a first optical system to read information on the lower surface of the information recording medium; a second optical system to read information on the upper surface of the information recording medium; and a cover member. The second optical system may include a reflection mirror. A medium disposition part may be formed by the placement member and the cover member. The upper surface portion and the side surface portions may be transparent. The second illumination light may be disposed on outer sides of the medium disposition part in the left-right direction. Light emitted from the second illumination light and transmitted through the side surface portions may be irradiated onto the upper surface of the information recording medium placed on the placement member.

Musical score image analyzer and musical score image analyzing method
A musical score image analyzer includes a processor and a memory having stored thereon instructions executable by the processor to cause the musical score image analyzer to perform: detecting musical symbols in a musical score image obtained by capturing a musical score having a plurality of staffs arranged in parallel to each other and the musical symbols respectively disposed in prescribed positions in the staffs; specifying a symbol column having the detected musical symbols which are arranged in a column; calculating an index relating an image capturing based on the symbol column; and instructing a capturing device to perform capturing operation of a still image for the musical score image when the index satisfies a prescribed condition.

Inkjet printing apparatus and variable-density correction method
First, shading charts are printed on a surface of a recording medium. Then, a plurality of captured images is acquired for a region of the same density of the shading charts printed on the recording medium. At this time, the amounts of displacement in the position of the recording medium in the main scanning direction, which is the direction of arrangement of nozzles, are also detected. Then, one super-resolution image with a higher resolution than the captured images is generated on the basis of the captured images and the amounts of displacement in the position of the recording medium in the main scanning direction. Thereafter, a variable-density correction amount is calculated for each of the nozzles on the basis of the generated super-resolution image.
Image scanning method
An image scanning method applied in an image scanning device capable of scanning a card. Record background values at the time of a card being without being in a scanning channel, and the background values recorded at the time of the card being without being in the scanning channel are regarded as preset values. Before the card is scanned, check whether the background values in the scanning channel conform to the preset values. Drive the card to move a distance Y. Check whether the background values in the scanning channel conform to the preset values. Preset a preset movement distance, check whether a movement distance of the card or a distance of accumulated movements of the card exceeds the preset movement distance. Display that the card is stuck. Stop checking and proceeding with an image calibration. Start scanning the card. Complete scanning the card and withdraw the card.
