A photoelectric conversion apparatus is provided. The apparatus comprises a substrate including two light receiving regions in which light receiving devices are arranged; electrode pads arranged on the substrate; and a readout circuit arranged on the substrate and configured to read out signals from the light receiving regions. The electrode pads include an output pad for outputting a signal, and a power supply pad for supplying power to the light receiving regions or the readout circuit. Each of the light receiving regions has a shape in which a first direction is taken as a longitudinal direction, the light receiving regions are arranged along a second direction with an interval therebetween, the second direction intersecting the first direction, and one or more pads of the electrode pads is sandwiched by the light receiving regions in the second direction.

In a line sensor including color filters that are periodically disposed in a light-receiving-element row, a problem called a mixture of colors occurs. A mixture of colors occurs when light that has been transmitted through a color filter differing from a color filter corresponding to a light receiving element is incident upon the light receiving element. In a CMOS sensor 107 including a light-receiving-element row in which a plurality of photodiodes 1204 are disposed side by side in a main scanning direction and a plurality of color filters 1202 that are disposed in correspondence with the plurality of photodiodes 1204, the center of each color filter 1202 is displaced in a direction of the center of the light-receiving-element row from the center of the photodiode 1204 corresponding to the color filter.

An image processing apparatus includes a storage and processing circuitry. The storage is configured to store a dither table in which a plurality of dither patterns are recorded, each of the dither patterns being formed with a halftone dot screen in which an output area ratio that is a proportion of void halftone dots per unit area corresponds to any one of gradation values of image data. The processing circuitry is configured to read a gradation value for each region in image data input for each toner color, decide a dither pattern to be applied to the read gradation value, read out the decided dither pattern from the dither table, and perform dither processing of applying the read dither pattern to the region in the image data.

PRINTING SYSTEM CONTROL
A method and system of controlling at least one printbar in a printing system are described. The printing system has one or more of printbars distributed along a media transport. A first image including a reference pattern is generated on a print medium with a first printbar. A pattern is then detected on the print medium. The reference pattern and the detected pattern are used to determine a position of the first image relative to a second printbar. This position is used to configure nozzle data for a second image to be generated on the print medium by the second printbar.
