A semiconductor surface-emitting laser array can be provided with a group of independently addressable light-emitting pixels arranged in at least two rows and in a linear array on a common substrate chip and including a common cathode and a dedicated channel associated with an address trace line for each pixel. An aggregate linear pitch can be achieved between pixels of the at least two rows along the linear array in a cross process direction that is less than the size of a pixel. The semiconductor laser array can include more than one common substrate chip tiled and stitched together in a staggered arrangement to provide an at least 11-inch wide, 1200pdi imager with timing delays associated with each of the more than one common substrate chip in the staggered arrangement.
MULTIFUNCTION PERIPHERAL WITH EXTERIOR MEMBER DIFFERENT FROM INPUT UNIT
A multifunction peripheral includes an exterior member that corresponds to an exterior portion of the multifunction peripheral and that differs from an input unit that inputs an instruction for a program, a reception unit that receives an instruction for performing a process that involves an operation of the exterior member, and a notification unit that notifies a user of a position on the exterior member to be operated by the user of the multifunction peripheral when the process is performed in a case where the reception unit receives the instruction for performance.
IMAGE READING DEVICE
An image reading device includes a placement section on which a subject is placed, an image capturing unit that is disposed above the placement section and captures an image of the subject, an irradiating unit that is disposed above the placement section and irradiates the subject with light, and a display unit that is disposed between the placement section and the image capturing unit and between the placement section and the irradiating unit, the display unit being located at a position outside an image capturing range of the image capturing unit and an irradiation range of the irradiating unit.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section that forms an image on a document; a first ejection section that ejects the document on which the image has been formed by the image forming section; an exterior portion which is movable and at least a part of which constitutes an exterior of the apparatus; an entrance portion that is exposed by movement of the exterior portion and that constitutes an entrance for the document to be transported to an image reading section that reads the image formed on the document; the image reading section that reads the image formed on the document transported after the entrance portion is exposed; and a second ejection section that ejects the document which has been read by the image reading section. An ejecting direction of the first ejection section, an ejecting direction of the second ejection section, and a moving direction of the exterior portion coincide with each other.
POSITION SENSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND POSITION DETECTION METHOD
A position sensing apparatus and a method of detecting a position. The position sensing apparatus includes a scanner configured to emit light to an object to scan an image of the object, and a position detector. In the position sensing apparatus, the scanner outputs a first result of scanning obtained by irradiating the object with visible light and a second result of scanning obtained by irradiating the object with invisible light to the position detector, and the position detector corrects the second result of scanning based on the first result of scanning, and to detect an invisible alignment image based on the corrected second result of scanning. The method includes emitting light to an object using a scanner, obtaining a first result of scanning as the scanner irradiates the object with visible light, and obtaining a second result of scanning as the scanner irradiates the object with invisible light.
Image processing apparatus controlling printing according to unidirectional printing method or bidirectional printing method
In an image processing apparatus, a processor sets a target printing method for printing a target image to one of a bidirectional printing method and a unidirectional printing method. In a case where the bidirectional printing method is set as the target printing method: the processor executes both a first generation process and a second generation process. The first generation process generates first partial print data by converting a set of partial image data using a first color conversion profile. The second generation process generates second partial print data by converting another set of partial image data using a second color conversion profile. In a case where the unidirectional printing method is set as the target printing method, the processor executes a third generation process generating third partial print data by converting a set of partial image data using a third color conversion profile.
Projection device and spatial imaging method
Disclosed are a projection device and a spatial imaging method. The projection device includes: an optical fiber scanner array; a light source located on an incident light path of the optical fiber scanner array; and an adjustment and control module assembly configured to couple, according to a virtual scene to be displayed, light emitted by the light source into the optical fiber scanner array, and to control the optical fiber scanner array to project pencil beams to a plurality of virtual object points corresponding to the virtual scene and located in space, such that multiple pencil beams projected to each virtual object point form a bundle of emitting light beams.
An image reading device includes a plurality of light-receiving pixels configured to receive reflected light; a first light-shielding member including a plurality of first openings and disposed between the plurality of light-receiving pixels and a reference surface; a second light-shielding member including a plurality of second openings and disposed between the plurality of first openings and the reference surface; and a plurality of condenser lenses disposed at a distance from the plurality of second openings. The plurality of condenser lenses, the second light-shielding member, the first light-shielding member, and the plurality of light-receiving pixels are disposed at positions at which reflected light sequentially passes through one of the condenser lenses corresponding to each light-receiving pixel, one of the second openings corresponding to the each light-receiving pixel, and one of the first openings corresponding to the each light-receiving pixel and enters the each light-receiving pixel.
