Wearable device location systems architecture

Systems, methods, devices, computer readable media, and other various embodiments are described for location management processes in wearable electronic devices. Performance of such devices is improved with reduced time to first fix of location operations in conjunction with low-power operations. In one embodiment, low-power circuitry manages high-speed circuitry and location circuitry to provide location assistance data from the high-speed circuitry to the low-power circuitry automatically on initiation of location fix operations as the high-speed circuitry and location circuitry are booted from low-power states. In some embodiments, the high-speed circuitry is returned to a low-power state prior to completion of a location fix and after capture of content associated with initiation of the location fix. In some embodiments, high-speed circuitry is booted after completion of a location fix to update location data associated with content.

Image processing apparatus for estimating action of subject and adding information indicating the action of the subject to an image, method for controlling the same, and storage medium

An image processing apparatus acquires a plurality of pieces of image data sequentially outputted from an imager and, in accordance with reception of an image capturing instruction to capture a still image, specify as image data to be processed a plurality of pieces of image data in a period that includes a timing at which the still image is captured. The image processing apparatus, based on an action of a subject estimated using the image data to be processed, add information that indicates the action of the subject to data of the still image.

The present technology relates to a file processing device, a file processing method, and a program that enable efficient reproduction of a HEIF file.

A high efficiency image file format (HEIF) file in which a related image associated with an image in the HEIF file is arranged in a top part of an mdat box is generated. Additionally, a top part of such a HEIF file is read. The present technology can be applied to generation and reproduction of a HEIF file.

Printing apparatus with camera for photographing label surface of disc

A printing apparatus comprising: a disc receiving portion configured to receive a disc which can record data; and a camera provided to oppose to a label surface of the disc when the disc is received in the disc receiving portion and configured to photograph the label surface of the disc.

Devices and Methods for Capturing and Interacting with Enhanced Digital Images

An electronic device having a camera, while displaying a live preview for the camera, detects activation of a shutter button at a first time. In response, the electronic device acquires, by the camera, a representative image that represents a first sequence of images, and a plurality of images after acquiring the representative image, and also displays an indication in the live preview that the camera is capturing images for the first sequence of images. The electronic device groups images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button at the first time into the first sequence of images, such that the first sequence of images includes a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time, the representative image, and the plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INITIATING A LIVE VIDEO STREAM TRANSMISSION

An apparatus, system, and method allow a user to initiate a live stream that includes retrospectively captured images. Initiating the live stream includes providing provisional data that includes retrospectively captured images to a wireless radio.

Devices and methods for capturing and interacting with enhanced digital images

An image editing user interface, displayed by a computer system, for editing a sequence of images (e.g., an enhanced digital image), includes an affordance for turning on, or off, animated playback of the sequence of images, while retaining the sequence of images. While animated playback is turned off, a representative image from the sequence of images is displayed.

PROVING DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPH AUTHORSHIP USING ECG BIOMETRICS
20170353624 · 2017-12-07 ·

Techniques for proving digital photograph authorship using ECG biometrics are described. Electrodes are located on the exterior of a digital camera and are electrically coupled to an ECG circuit. When a photographer holds the camera with both hands, the electrodes detect electrical voltages from the photographer's hands and the ECG circuit produces a digital ECG signal. When the photographer uses the digital camera to capture a photograph, the camera's stenographic engine uses a stenographic key to embedded the ECG signal into the raw image file, producing a watermarked image. The camera's cryptographic engine uses a cryptographic key to encrypt the watermarked image to produce an encrypted image. If a dispute arises regarding authorship of the photograph, the stenographic and cryptographic engines convert the encrypted image into the raw image file and the photographer's ECG signals, which are compared to the ECG signals of the disputed author(s).
