Printing apparatus for performing double-sided printing of a scanned document that contains sheets having different sizes
A printing apparatus having a copying function includes a document feeder that feeds a document, an image reading section that scans the document fed from the document feeder and generates image data of the document, a printing section that performs printing on paper in accordance with the image data, and a controller. The controller performs an avoidance process of avoiding performing the printing in which a size of a sheet of the document and a size of the paper do not match against an intention of a user, in a case where a setting is made in which the document, on which single-sided printing is performed, is printed on both sides of the paper to perform double-sided printing, and the document includes sheets having different sizes and includes an odd number of successive sheets with an identical size.
Method of producing output product by outputting appropriate code corresponding to output condition, and storage medium storing code conversion program
An output product producing method includes acquiring output information, specifying an output condition for an output section, converting the output information into a code having an error-correction amount corresponding to the output condition, and causing the output section to output an output product including the code under the output condition.
Print setting process for a medium and printed-matter producing apparatus
The disclosure discloses a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a printed-matter producing program for executing steps on a controller of a printed-matter producing apparatus. In a consistency determination step, it is determined whether or not medium specification information acquired is identical to medium specification information stored in a medium specification information storage memory. In a medium specification information replacement step, the stored medium specification information is not replaced with the acquired medium specification information in the case that the acquired medium specification information is identical, and the stored medium specification information is replaced with the acquired medium specification information in the case that the acquired medium specification information is not identical. In a printed-matter production step, a feeder and a printing head is controlled on the basis of one piece of the medium specification information stored in the medium specification information storage memory to produce a printed matter.
Printing system and control method thereof
In a printing system capable of supplying a sheet of a job having undergone print processing by the printing unit of a printing apparatus to a post-processing unit capable of executing at least a specific type of post-processing among a plurality of types of post-processes, when the target job requires the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is inhibited from executing print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by a user using a user interface unit. When the target job does not require the specific type of post-processing, the printing apparatus is permitted to execute print processing of the job without explicitly determining a sheet necessary for the print processing of the job by the user using the user interface unit.
Image forming apparatus and recording medium suitable for image forming process
Provided is an image forming apparatus that suppresses degradation of performance of processing up to completion of printing while suppressing the occurrence of moire. A data-compression unit stores identification data indicating the presence or absence of periodicity obtained by analyzing printing data, and printing data correlated with the identification data in a first memory area of a RAM. A color-conversion-processing unit that performs a speculative process, causes printing data that has undergone a color conversion process corresponding to printer printing to be stored in a second memory area of a RAM. A screen-processing unit that performs a speculative process, performs an AM screen process on printing data. In addition, a system-control unit causes the image-forming unit to move from a printing pre-start position to a printing start position based on a determination result of a printing color in a color conversion process corresponding to a first printer printing by the color-conversion-processing unit by a speculative process.
Color table compression
A memory device includes a compressed color table and corrective information. The compressed color table includes a first set of nodes of the color table compressed with a lossy compression at a selected compression ratio. The first set of nodes include a color difference within an error threshold at the selected compression ratio. Corrective information is included for a second set of nodes of the color table. The second set of nodes have a color difference outside the error threshold.
Temporary identification systems for a healthcare provider
A method of temporarily displaying information about a patient to a healthcare provider includes: (1) providing a computing system comprising an input device and a processor in data communication with memory comprising a code generator; (2) inputting, via the input device, patient specific information into the memory for a first patient; (3) accessing the code generator to generate a first code for the first patient, the first code being based on the patient specific information; (4) providing a TCI printer having TCI, the TCI printer being in communication with the computing system; (5) placing the TCI printer on a first area of the first patient; and (6) activating the TCI printer to print the first code on the first area of the first patient.
SHEET CONVEYING APPARATUS, DOCUMENT READING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying apparatus according to the present invention includes a first conveying roller, a second conveying roller, a third conveying roller, a first motor configured to drive the first conveying roller, a phase determiner configured to determine a rotational phase of a rotor of the first motor, a controller configured to control a driving current flowing through a winding of the first motor, and a discriminator configured to, based on the number of times an absolute value of a value of a parameter corresponding to a load torque applied to the rotor changes from a value smaller than a predetermined value to a value greater than the predetermined value, discriminate at least one of whether a front end of a sheet reaches a nip portion of the first conveying roller and whether a rear end of the sheet passes through the nip portion of the first conveying roller.
Printing device supply component
In some examples, a supply component for a printing device includes a memory device comprising corrective data to produce a customized color table for a first color gamut, wherein the corrective data corresponds to nodes of a reference color table for the printing device that is able to employ a plurality of color gamuts for printing. The corrective data comprises a plurality of residual values to transform the nodes of the reference color table to the customized color table. The corrective data is accessible by the printing device to transform the reference color table to the customized color table used for printing to a media using the first color gamut.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes a hardware processor; a supplier that supplies a sheet; an image former; and a sensor that senses an operation of opening and/or closing a paper cassette containing the sheet. An image is formed in any mode between an automatic sensing mode in which the sheet type is discriminated by the hardware processor, and a type specifying mode in which the sheet type is accepted by the hardware processor. In a case in which it is judged that the mode is switched, the hardware processor automatically switches the mode when the image former forms the image. In a case in which the type specifying mode is set, the hardware processor judges, based on sensing of at least one of the operation of opening and/or the operation of closing by the sensor, whether to switch the mode to the automatic sensing mode.
