In a case in which the type specifying mode is set, the hardware processor judges, based on sensing of at least one of the operation of opening and/or the operation of closing by the sensor, whether to switch the mode to the automatic sensing mode.

The controller calculates tone values or dot gains of the first patch and second patch based on the measured color values of the patches in the color chart, and determines the current condition of print and the current condition of a finished surface by using a comparison result of the tone values or dot gains of the first patch and second patch with respective reference values.
