Image forming apparatus approves display of a remote screen based on a condition indicating a communication address of a requesting apparatus prior to display a remote screen on the requesting apparatus
A controller performs an approval process of: in response to receiving a first request from an apparatus connected via a communication interface, displaying an approval screen on a user interface; and in response to receiving an approval operation to an approval screen via the user interface, approving display of a remote screen, performs a transmission process of, in response to approving the display of the remote screen, transmitting remote screen data to the requesting apparatus; and after the transmission process, in response to receiving an instruction via the communication interface from a requesting apparatus, performs a particular process based on the instruction. The approval process further includes: determining whether a communication address satisfies a particular condition; and in response to determining that the communication address satisfies the particular condition, approving the display of the remote screen for the requesting apparatus without displaying the approval screen on the user interface.
Facsimile document management system using policies
A document management system includes a facsimile device or a multi-peripheral (MFP) device having facsimile and scanning components. A cloud based server stores a policy that is used to manage documents received at the facsimile device or scanning component. When a document is received at the facsimile device or scanning component, a parameter is used to determine an action to be taken according to the policy. Such actions include forwarding the received document to the cloud based server or sending it as an attachment in an email. When received at the cloud based server, the policy is used to categorize the document according to an attribute to make the document available within a document management service.
Reception device and method to transmit data based on one or more tables
According to one embodiment, a reception device receiving facsimile data includes an interface and a processor. The interface receives the facsimile data. The processor transmits a facsimile image of the facsimile data to a transfer destination corresponding to a transmission source transmitting the facsimile data.
RECEPTION DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND RECEPTION METHOD
According to one embodiment, a reception device receiving facsimile data includes an interface and a processor. The interface receives the facsimile data. The processor transmits a facsimile image of the facsimile data to a transfer destination corresponding to a transmission source transmitting the facsimile data.
Identifying and controlling unwanted calls
A method and system for controlling unwanted phone calls. In response to a determination that a phone number of a current incoming call to a user is not a phone number in a contact list including phone numbers of the user's contacts and to a determination that the phone number of the current incoming call is a phone number in a phone list of a shared table, the shared table for the previous call duration is analyzed for the previous call duration and the previous sentiment of the user during a previous incoming phone call for the phone number of the current incoming call to the user. It is ascertained, from analyzing the shared table for the previous call duration, that the previous call duration is less than a predetermined call duration and the previous sentiment is a negative sentiment, and in response the current incoming call is rejected.
PROTECTED ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
Examples disclosed herein relate to a protected electronic communication method comprising assigning a protected electronic communication to a data element, wherein the protected electronic communication comprises a plurality of identifier segments, receiving a request for the data element to be included in an analytics report, determining, according to the protected electronic communication, whether the data element is permitted to be included in the analytics report, and in response to determining that the data element is permitted to be included in the analytics report, providing the data element for use in the analytics report.
Identifying and controlling unwanted calls
Systems, methods and tools for leveraging computer networks, data sharing, data analytics and sentiment analysis to control the receipt of unwanted telephone calls and preventing unwanted telephone calls from disturbing a user through the implementation of contacts list and/or a shared table of unique calls. Contact lists and shared tables of unique calls may identify incoming calls that may be directed to the user or filtered out based on whether the incoming call's number is in the user's contact list and/or based on the past experiences of the individual users engaging with the incoming caller. Embodiments may track the past call durations for unique incoming number and track the sentiment of users during these calls and use the collected call data and sentiment determine whether subsequent incoming calls from a phone number should be forwarded to the user's telephone enabled device or automatically responded to with further instructions.
