Methods and systems for securing confidential content of a document while printing and/or generating a copy of the document
The disclosure discloses methods and systems for securing confidential content of a document. The method includes receiving a print request to print the document. A user interface is provided to the user having a secure option, the secure option further includes a partial secure option to secure partial content of the document. Based on the selection of the partial secure option, a selection of a confidential area including the confidential content in the document is received. Based on the selection, one or more coordinates of the confidential area are calculated. Then, an infrared (IR) mark is embedded in the document. While embedding the IR mark, the one or more coordinates of the confidential area including the confidential content in the document is embedded. Finally, a printed document is output with the IR mark including the coordinates of the confidential area for later identification of the confidential content and/or use such as masking.
PRINTING SYSTEM, TERMINAL APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-EXECUTABLE MEDIUM
A printing system includes an image forming apparatus capable of performing visible printing and invisible printing and a terminal apparatus. The terminal apparatus includes first circuitry. The first circuitry adds a printing command instructing to invisibly print an image of a two-dimensional code obtained by two-dimensionally encoding a print target image to print data generated based on the print target image. The first circuitry transmits, to the image forming apparatus, the print data to which the printing command is added. The image forming apparatus including second circuitry. The second circuitry visibly prints the print target image based on the print data transmitted from the terminal apparatus, and invisibly prints the image of the two-dimensional code according to the printing command added.
Unique watermark generation and detection during a conference
The unique watermark system comprising: identifying a presenter attendee, a first recipient attendee, and a second recipient attendee through a video conferencing session; detecting the presenter attendee sharing the visual content with the first recipient attendee and the second recipient attendee; selecting a first unique watermark and a second unique watermark from the plurality of unique watermarks and assigning them to a first recipient attendee and a second recipient attendee, respectively; inserting the first unique watermark into the visual content for the first recipient attendee and the second unique watermark into the visual content for the second recipient attendee; and transmitting the visual content with the first unique watermark to the first recipient attendee and the visual content with the second unique watermark to the second recipient attendee, wherein the method is performed by one or more special-purpose computing devices for hosting the video conferencing session.
Systems and methods for verification and authentication of remote sensing imagery
A system for generating and authenticating remote sensing imagery includes a remote sensing platform. The remote sensing platform includes an imaging sensor and a hardware logic device that is directly coupled to the imaging sensor. The hardware logic device receives image data from the imaging sensor and generates a cryptographic signature based upon the image data. The hardware logic device outputs a signed image that includes the image data and the cryptographic signature. A computing device operated by a downstream user receives the signed image and can determine whether the image data has been modified from its original content based upon the cryptographic signature.
COPYRIGHT PROTECTION ASSISTANCE SYSTEM
In a copyright protection assistance system 1, a content delivery device 2 stores embedded region specification information having identification information and a page of comic contents, and definition information of an embedded region in the page, and user information of a logged-in user receiving delivery of the comic contents, embeds, in response to a request for delivery of specific comic contents by a specific user, the user information of the specific user by means of a difficult-to-perceive digital watermark in the embedded region specified by the embedded region specification information corresponding to the identification information of the specific comic contents, delivers the specific comic contents to the specific user, and transmits the identification information of the delivered specific comic contents and the user information of the specific user in association with each other to a copyright management device 3 for storage purpose.
Methods and systems for adding content from an external medium to a job submitted at a multifunction device
The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for allowing a user to add content from an external medium to a job submitted at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a job at the multi-function device for a pre-defined operation. The method further includes providing a user interface at the multi-function device including an option for adding the content from the external medium. Once the option is selected, a code generated corresponding to the job is displayed at the multi-function device. Upon scanning the code, the user selects the content to be added and provides details of the content to be added from the external medium. Finally, the selected content is added in the job resulting in a final output.
Printing device and control method of a printing device
A printer and a control method of a printer can print barcodes appropriately according to a given print medium by means of a simple, easy operation. The printer stores a constant preset correction value relationally corresponding to each type of print medium. The printer also stores an added correction value that is optionally input for each specific type of print medium. The preset constant correction value and the added correction value are used to adjust the printed state of the barcode, e.g. to adjust bar widths within the barcode. The print control unit prints barcodes as adjusted using the preset constant correction value stored in the printer storage unit and further adjusted using the added correction value.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus includes a document setting table, an image data generation unit, a downsized image data generation unit, a document information generation unit, and an image cropping unit. The image data generation unit reads a plurality of source documents placed on the document setting table and generates image data representing the plurality of source documents. The downsized image data generation unit generates downsized image data by reducing a size of the image data. The document information generation unit analyzes the downsized image data to detect respective positions of the plurality of source documents and generate document information indicating the detected positions. The image cropping unit cuts out a plurality of regions from the image data according to the document information and acquires a plurality of items of cropped image data respectively representing the plurality of source documents.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes circuitry that acquires first image data, embeds electronic watermark data in a brightness component of the first image data to generate second image data, and determines a type of the second image data based on a color difference component of the second image data.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROTECTING SCANNED DOCUMENTS
The disclosure discloses methods and systems for securing documents submitted for scanning at a device such as a multi-function device. The method includes scanning a document received from a user. A user interface is provided to the user to define a document type and to further define an access level for accessing the scanned document. Then, scanned data is generated. The scanned data is encoded based on a unique identity of the device and based on the access level such that the scanned data is accessible by the user and/or by one or more other users according to the defined access level. Finally, the scanned document is generated. Later when the scanned document is accessed by any user, details of the user accessing the scanned document is matched with details added in the encoded scanned data. Based on matching, the user is allowed to access the scanned document.
