Methods involving maps, imagery, video and steganography
The disclosure describes methods and apparatus of providing steganographic indicia or digital watermarking in image or video data. One implementation provides a method of embedding a digital watermark in image data captured by an imager, with watermark embedding occurring on-chip with the imager. Another implementation provides a method of managing images. Each of the images comprises plural-bit data steganographically embedded therein in the form of a digital watermark, with the plural-bit data corresponding to a geo-location. Yet another implementation provides a method of identifying locations on a map, with the map being for display via a computer display. Still another implementation provides a method of introducing a watermark message to a watermark embedder located on-chip with an image array. Other implementations and embodiments are provided as well.
FACILITATING AUTHENTICATION OF A VOID PANTOGRAPH
Examples herein disclose receiving and identifier associated with a first void pantograph and identifying a second void pantograph based on the received identifier. The examples facilitate authentication of the first void pantograph by making available the second void pantograph.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes: an embed-data generating unit configured to generate embed-data, which is to be embedded in input-image-data, the input-image-data representing an image including a first color, the embed-data representing an image including a second color; an inverting unit configured to invert the image represented by the embed-data, in response to meeting a predetermined condition relating to the first color and the second color; and an output-image-data generating unit configured to embed, in the input-image-data, embed-data representing the image that is inverted by the inverting unit, in order to generate output-image-data in a case where the predetermined condition is met, and configured to embed, in the input-image-data, embed-data representing the image that is not inverted by the inverting unit, in order to generate output-image-data in a case where the predetermined condition is not met.
Editing Watermarked Assets
A digital medium environment includes an asset processing application that performs editing of a watermarked asset. An improved asset editing method implemented by the asset processing application comprises receiving a watermarked asset, receiving edits to the watermarked asset, storing metadata corresponding to the edits together with an asset identification (ID), communicating the metadata and asset ID, applying edits using the metadata to an unwatermarked version of the asset retrieved using the asset ID, adding a watermark back to the edited asset, and providing the edited, watermarked asset.
Forensic verification utilizing forensic markings inside halftones
A forensic verification system extracts a print signature via a print signature extractor from an interior of a halftone contained in an image. The system utilizes a comparator to compare the print signature to a reference signature stored in a registry to determine differences between the print signature and the reference signature. The system utilizes a forensic analyzer to perform a forensic analysis on the signatures based on the comparison to authenticate the image.
Content sensitive connected content
The disclosure describes a method of connecting multimedia content to a network resource. This method operates in a computer network environment. Operating in a network connected device, the method extracts an identifier from a media signal, such as from a digital watermark, perceptual hash, or other machine extracted signal identifier. It then sends the identifier to a network along with context information indicating device type information. From the network, the method receives related data associated with the media signal via the identifier. The related data is adapted to the network connected device based on the device type information. This device type information may include a display type, so that the related date may be formatted for rendering on the display type of the device. This device type information may also include a connection speed so that the related data may be optimized for the connection speed of the device.
Digitally printed anti-copy document and processes and products therefor
The present invention relates to a method and product resulting from application distortion security images in an anti-copy document, printed on demand, which may be variable and use laser printers or printer/copiers and/or ink-jet printers and/or digital presses.
Digital imaging apparatus and digital imaging method
According to an embodiment, a digital imaging apparatus includes: a camera module and a controller. The controller detects, on a basis of data of a captured image captured by the camera module, whether or not there is a distance difference between an object and a background included in the captured image. The controller adds, where it has been detected that there is the distance difference, authentication information to the data of the captured image, and stores, in a memory, the captured image to which the authentication information has been added.
PRINTER-VERIFIERS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VERIFYING PRINTED INDICIA
A printer-verifier is provided for printing and verifying a printed indicium. Printer-verifier includes imaging module for capturing image of printed indicium on print media, memory communicatively coupled to imaging module and configured to store print quality verification program, and processor communicatively coupled to memory. Processor is configured by print quality verification program to evaluate print quality of printed indicium, determine if print quality meets print quality standard, reject printed indicium on print media as rejected printed media when print quality does not meet print quality standard, and one of output location-specific feedback about rejected printed media or send a command signal to cutting device to destroy rejected printed media. Location-specific feedback is in same language as language associated with printer-verifier. A printer and methods for verifying the printed indicium are also provided.
