On a display unit, a user interface screen including a first acceptance unit configured to, in a case when the information processing apparatus is operating as an access point, accept an end instruction for ending operation as the access point and a second acceptance unit configured to accept a disconnection instruction for disconnecting the connection by the wireless communication with the terminal is displayed.

An information processing apparatus, communicable with an intermediary apparatus communicable with a target apparatus, includes circuitry configured to receive, from a terminal device communicable with the information processing apparatus, identification information acquired by the terminal device from an external source, receive, from the terminal device, image data input at the terminal device, identify a transmission destination of the received image data, related to a service operation associated with the identification information and to be output from the target apparatus via the intermediary apparatus, based on address information of a transmission source that has transmitted the identification information to the information processing apparatus, and transmit information indicating the transmission destination of the image data to the terminal device.

An image forming apparatus including: a wireless communication circuitry configured to make a wireless communication with a portable information processing device including a display unit; and a computer and a memory storing a program causing the computer to execute: a recognition step recognizing a portable information processing device that is within a communicable range through communication via the wireless communication circuitry; a job setting step receiving a job setting; and a job control step receiving a start instruction and executing a job in response to the start instruction, wherein the job setting step receives the job setting, which is made in the portable information processing device, via the wireless communication circuitry after the portable information processing device falls within the communicable range, and the job control step accepts reception from the portable information processing device of an instruction to rearrange the order of the execution of the job among jobs which await their starts.

The image processing apparatus performs a communication process targeting an external apparatus via a network. When performing a communication process, the image processing apparatus determines whether or not the external apparatus which is a target of the communication process is registered in a destination list in which apparatuses corresponding to a predetermined condition are registered. In accordance with the timeout period determined based on the determination result, the image processing apparatus determines that a timeout has occurred in the communication process. The image processing apparatus updates the destination list according to the determination result of the occurrence of the timeout and the determination result as to whether or not the external apparatus is registered in the destination list. Thereby, it is possible to provide an image processing apparatus capable of quickly executing communication process because the transmission/reception buffer is less likely to run out.

An image forming apparatus comprising: a wireless communication circuitry configured to make a wireless communication with a portable information processing device including: a display unit for displaying a simplified job setting screen on the portable information processing device side; and an operation unit for displaying a full job setting screen on the image forming apparatus side; and a computer and a memory storing a program causing the computer to execute: a recognition step recognizing a portable information processing device that is within a communicable range through communication via the wireless communication circuitry; a job setting step receiving a job setting; and a job control step receiving a start instruction and executing the job in response to the start instruction, wherein the job setting step receives the job setting, which is made by use of the simplified job setting screen, from the portable information processing device, via the wireless communication circuitry after the portable information processing device falls within the communicable range or receives the job setting, which is made by use of the full job setting screen, from the operation unit; and the full job setting screen provides not only corresponding set items but also additional information on the item to the simplified job setting screen.

A system for publishing digital images wherein a mobile device (14) that stores at least one digital image generates output signals in response to operator commands. The mobile device (14) communicates with a source of digital instructions (18) thorough a communication network (16) such that digital instructions are downloaded to the mobile device. A system to supervise an operator working in an environment exposed to ionizing radiation. A supervision center includes a processor, memory, screen and network connection facility. A radiation detector/meter connected to the operator obtains and transmits a measurement of the exposure intensity to the supervision center. A radiofrequency tag connected to the detector/meter provides geolocation of the detector/meter. The memory stores a map of the exposed environment including a map of the exposure intensity, and a history file containing a record of the measurement, the date of the measurement and the location of the detector corresponding to the measurement. The memory stores a planning file containing a list, duration, location and scheduling of the operator tasks. A connecting terminal is connected to the network and provided to the operator.
