A processing device in a server computer system generates multiple instances of a universal scanner driver on a server, each instance corresponding to a different scanner connected at separate user devices. The processing device receives requests for an application running on the server to scan documents using the multiple scanners concurrently. The processing device sends, using the different instances of the universal scanner driver, the requests to each user device concurrently and receives scan data corresponding to the documents from the user device.

A device and method for downloading data from multiple cameras at once for omnidirectional image recording are provided. The cameras are connected to USB ports of an integrator, whereas the charging current of the cameras is limited, then a connection is opened to the cameras and the memories made available by the individual cameras are mounted as sub-folders of a dedicated folder, after which the dedicated folder is made available and the integrator is connected to a computer and a connection is started with the integrator, where N threads are started and data is downloaded from the folders. The cameras are connected directly through USB ports to the integrator, which opens a connection with the cameras and mounts the memory resource made available by the camera as a sub-folder of the main folder, after which the main folder is made available to the user's computer through an USB port.

An information processing apparatus includes a storage device, a generating circuit, and an initialization circuit. The storage device stores control device configuration information in relation to resolution information of a control device. The control device configuration information is included in list information that is a list of information on the control device. The generating circuit generates dummy list information that is a dummy of the list information using the control device configuration information. An image forming apparatus includes: a print processing portion that executes print jobs transmitted from a plurality of information processing apparatuses, according to a predetermined execution order; a human detecting portion that detects a presence of a human within a predetermined specific range from the image forming apparatus; a job identifying portion that identifies, from the print jobs, a first print job that corresponds to the human detected by the human detecting portion; a job detecting portion that detects, from the print jobs, a presence of a second print job that was transmitted from any of one or more second information processing apparatuses that have been grouped into the same group as a first information processing apparatus that is a transmission source of the first print job identified by the job identifying portion; and a notification processing portion that notifies the presence of the detected second print job.

An information processing apparatus includes plural communication units, a determination unit, and a controller. The plural communication units are configured to be capable of conducting a wireless communication. The determination unit is configured to determine a communication unit from among the plural communication units in accordance with whether a mobile communication terminal that is attempting to conduct a communication is approaching the information processing apparatus. The controller is configured to perform a control so as to start the communication using the communication unit determined by the determination unit.
