The present disclosure is directed to systems, methods, and devices that enable monitoring of threshold values related to parameters within a printing device through the communication of one or more terminal devices and the printing device with a threshold subscription unit. The terminal devices transmit threshold values to be monitored to the threshold subscription unit. The threshold subscription unit then orders those threshold values into a queue and assigns one to the printing device. Upon receiving an alert from the printing device that a parameter value related to the assigned threshold value has been reached, the threshold subscription unit notifies the terminal devices of this and assigns the next threshold value in the queue to the printing device. This continues until all threshold values in the queue have been reached.

The image processing device includes a wireless communication interface that establishes the connection with the portable terminal in response to the connection request from the portable terminal and a second CPU that receives the execution start command from the portable terminal, executes the job based on the execution start command in order of receipt, and terminates the connection with the portable terminal after the execution start command is received.

The present invention generally relates to nanoscale wires, including to nanoscale wires used as sensors. In some cases, the nanoscale wires may be used to directly determine analytes, even within relatively complicated environments such as blood, unlike many prior art techniques. In some aspects, the nanoscale wire form at least a portion of the gate of a field-effect transistor, and in certain aspects, different periodically-varying voltages or other electrical signals may be applied to the field-effect transistor. For example, in one set of embodiments, sinusoidally-varying voltages of different frequencies may be applied to the nanoscale wire and the source electrode of the field-effect transistor. The electrical conductance or other properties of the nanoscale wire in response to the periodically-varying voltages may then be determined and used to determine binding of the species.
