20170031638 · 2017-02-02 ·

An image forming apparatus includes a printing unit connectable to a print server system with a print service providing print data. The image forming apparatus includes a reception unit that receives a URL from the print service in response to receipt of a print instruction, the URL indicating a location where the print data is stored and receives the print data based on the received URL, and a transmission unit that transmits the received print data to the printing unit. The transmission unit starts communication with the printing unit in response to receipt of partial print data, does not disconnect communication with the printing unit before receipt of a remainder of the print data finishes, and disconnects communication with the printing unit in response to completion of transmission of all of the print data.

An electronic apparatus includes: a connection circuit connectable to a network; a command acquisition circuit that acquires a family generation command for generating one family including all electronic apparatuses connected to the network; a detection circuit that detects a plurality of electronic apparatuses connected to the network; and a correspondence relation generation circuit that generates, when the command acquisition circuit receives the family generation command, a correspondence relation with each of the two electronic apparatuses that have not generated a correspondence relation with other electronic apparatuses, out of the plurality of detected electronic apparatuses.

Nanoscale field-effect transistors for biomolecular sensors and other applications

The present invention generally relates to nanoscale wires, including to nanoscale wires used as sensors. In some cases, the nanoscale wires may be used to directly determine analytes, even within relatively complicated environments such as blood, unlike many prior art techniques. In some aspects, the nanoscale wire form at least a portion of the gate of a field-effect transistor, and in certain aspects, different periodically-varying voltages or other electrical signals may be applied to the field-effect transistor. For example, in one set of embodiments, sinusoidally-varying voltages of different frequencies may be applied to the nanoscale wire and the source electrode of the field-effect transistor. The electrical conductance or other properties of the nanoscale wire in response to the periodically-varying voltages may then be determined and used to determine binding of the species.

Print control system and print control method

A print control system 1 has a control server 10 that transmits print data, and a printer 12 that communicates with the control server 10 through an asynchronous duplex communication path, receives print data sent by the control server 10 through the communication path, and prints based on the received data.

In a case where an image forming apparatus is connected to an information processing apparatus, correction information is generated through comparison between time information obtained by the image forming apparatus and time information obtained by the information processing apparatus. The image forming apparatus transmits, to the information processing apparatus, time information indicating a time at which setting information is updated in the image forming apparatus. The information processing apparatus corrects the received time information with the correction information. The information processing apparatus determines whether to update setting information stored in the information processing apparatus with received setting information, based on the corrected time information.

Mobile phone user interfaces for a print server that are generated based on printer status information

Systems and methods are provided for interactions between print servers and mobile phones. One embodiment is a mobile phone comprising a memory, a transceiver, and a control unit. The memory is operable to store rules for interacting with printers, and the transceiver is operable to communicate with a wireless telecommunication network via radio frequency transmissions. The control unit is operable to receive a notification from a print server via the transceiver that indicates status information for a printer controlled by the print server, to determine actions available for the printer based on the stored rules and the status information, and to generate a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that displays interactive graphical elements selectable by a user to initiate the available actions for the printer.

A transfer apparatus that receives data transmitted from a terminal and transfers the data to a management apparatus for managing the data, the transfer apparatus includes a transfer setting holding unit configured to hold a transfer setting to the management apparatus, a transfer sorting setting holding unit configured to hold a transfer sorting setting of the data, a storage destination determination unit configured to determine a storage destination of the data based on the transfer setting and the transfer sorting setting, and a transfer unit configured to transfer the data to a predetermined storage destination based on the transfer setting and the transfer sorting setting.

Non-transitory computer readable medium, image forming system, and image forming apparatus

A non-transitory computer readable medium stores a program causing a computer to execute a process including: transmitting output data to an image forming apparatus; receiving, from the image forming apparatus serving as a destination of the output data, first identification information identifying the output data; photographing a code image identifying the image forming apparatus that performs an output operation; acquiring, from the photographed code image, second identification information identifying the image forming apparatus that performs the output operation; and transmitting, with the first identification information attached to the second identification information, an instruction to perform the output operation to the image forming apparatus that is identified in accordance with the second identification information.
