NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A non-transitory computer readable medium stores a program causing a computer to execute a process including: transmitting output data to an image forming apparatus; receiving, from the image forming apparatus serving as a destination of the output data, first identification information identifying the output data; photographing a code image identifying the image forming apparatus that performs an output operation; acquiring, from the photographed code image, second identification information identifying the image forming apparatus that performs the output operation; and transmitting, with the first identification information attached to the second identification information, an instruction to perform the output operation to the image forming apparatus that is identified in accordance with the second identification information.
REMOTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
The remote maintenance server includes a processor that operates as a connection inquiry receiving unit that receives an inquiry from the one or more image forming apparatuses, the inquiry inquiring which connection server to connect, a connection destination selecting unit that selects a connection server as a connection destination in response to the inquiry with reference to the connection management table, the connection destination being a connection server having a smaller number of connections, and a connection information reply sending unit that sends, in reply, connection information to an image forming apparatus, which has sent the inquiry, the connection information being an IP address or FQDN of the connection server selected by the connection destination selecting unit.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COLOR ACCURATE PROOF OF A PRINTED PRODUCT
In this method, a surface of a digital master of the printed product is subdivided into a plurality of areas based on at least a first area of the printed product being printed having a first set of color-affecting printing characteristics and at least a second area of the printed product having a second set of color-affecting printing characteristics. Each of the plurality of areas are assigned a printing press color profile or device link, and the colors from colorspaces corresponding to each set of color-affective printing characteristics are converted to a colorspace of the proofing device. This conversion is accomplished by determining, for each pixel, one of the plurality of areas of the digital master surface that the pixel belongs to, selecting the color profile or the device link profile, converting the values to proof colorant values, and assigning the proof colorant values to the proof.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a first printer configured to print on a medium using a first material, a second printer configured to print on the medium using a second material that turns invisible when a first condition is satisfied, and a controller configured to: control the first printer to print on the medium a first symbol that is machine-readable and associated with first information, and control the second printer to print a second symbol on the medium on which the first symbol has been printed. A composite symbol of the first and second symbols is machine-readable and associated with second information different from the first information.
System and method for predictive maintenance
A system and method for predictive maintenance of multifunction peripherals includes a data collection agent configured to receive and store simple network management protocol (SNMP) data including metered data from one or more multifunction peripherals, and a service prediction system configured to selectively perform linear regression analysis on one or more of the metered data to predict one or more service events for at least one multifunction peripheral based on the linear regression analysis. Notifications for each predicted service event are sent to service technicians associated with the associated multifunction peripheral. Service technicians can preemptively perform service and maintenance functions on the multifunctional peripherals before error or faults occur on the multifunction peripherals.
System for modifying a set of application services on multi-function print devices
A multi-function print server administration service implemented on a server computer receives a request, by a user associated with either a vendor-administrator user account or a system administrator account, to modify a first set of one or more application services enabled on one or more multi-function print devices associated with the vendor-administrator user account. In response to receiving the requests, the multi-function print server generates a modified first set of one or more application services, which implements a modification to the one or more application services based on the received request to modify the first set of one or more application services. The multi-function print server administration service enables the modified first set of one or more application services on the one or more multi-function print devices.
Method and apparatus to process a print job
A method of processing a print job where a distribution strategy is determined for how a print job is to be distributed to a plurality of image processors for image processing based on at least one predetermined rule, and where distribution of the print job to at least one image processor of the plurality of image processors is controlled using the determined distribution strategy.
Printing system and method of controlling printing system that allow a user of a mobile terminal to print to an image forming apparatus using the mobile terminal, and a service provider to charge the user for printing
A method of controlling a printing system includes displaying, in a mobile terminal, a setting region for inputting a print setting for print data, and a search region for inputting a search condition for image forming apparatus candidates, of a plurality of image forming apparatuses, for executing printing, and searching, in a management system, for one or more image forming apparatuses, out of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, in accordance with the search condition input in the search region of the screen, and displaying display content that associates information of the image forming apparatuses with charge information for when the print data is printed by the image forming apparatuses, respectively, on a screen that includes a selection region by which it is possible to select the printing target, out of the one or more image forming apparatuses found in the searching.
Method for transmitting print data, server and mobile terminal
The invention relates to a method for transmitting print data, a server (120) and a mobile terminal (100). The invention further relates to a corresponding computer-readable storage medium. In the method, steps are carried out which include receiving the print job, conversion into the printer-specific format, saving the printer-specific format on another server (130), informing the mobile terminal (100) of the completed conversion, reporting the completed conversion to the user and, after confirmation from the user, transmitting the print data to the mobile terminal (100), in order to forward the print data in a last step to a printer (200) connected to the mobile terminal (100).
Information processing apparatus, cooperation system and computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus configured to control wireless communication by receiving user input of a start instruction to start a cooperation operation, the cooperation operation configured to cause a first apparatus to transmit target data to the information processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus wirelessly receives the target data from the first apparatus through a first access point by using the wireless communication interface after receiving the start instruction, and terminates wireless communication with the first access point. Once wireless communication with the first access point is terminated, the information processing apparatus may establish wireless communication with a second access point through which the information processing apparatus is communicable with a second apparatus, and wirelessly transmit the target data to the second apparatus through the second access point.
