Disclosed is a cloud server. The cloud server comprises: a control unit for generating a work group including a plurality of image forming devices which can be controlled by a mobile device; a UI generation unit for generating a UI capable of receiving an input of a virtual grouping job coupled to a plurality of tasks supported by the plurality of image forming devices, respectively; and a communication interface unit for providing a UI which has been generated in the mobile device.

Provided is an industrial printing system that reprints from an archive of production prints. Industrial printing systems include a plurality of print servers that perform production printing. Any of the print servers includes an archive job generation unit and a reprint unit. The archive job generation unit generates a print job to archive including a content job that is a job for each print component. The reprint unit transmits the content job included in the print job generated by the archive job generation unit to the other print server for reprinting. The content job includes a storage location, which may be in the other print server where the rasterized file in which the printed component was rasterized is stored, and a job ticket for the content job.

An example print system is described as including a manager engine that identifies an attribute of a job, a discovery engine that identifies a service printer available to store the job, a transfer engine that causes the job to transfer from a first printer to a second printer, and a remote job engine that maintains job retrieval information associated with the job.

A scan task system includes a plurality of imaging devices, including MFDs, dedicated scanners, or mobile phones with scanning or camera functions. The system notifies a user or a number of users when a particular document needs to be scanned and transmitted to a specific destination. A scan task is sent to available imaging devices, and will appear when the user logs in at any imaging device on the network. When a user executes the scan task at any one of the imaging devices, the scan task is removed from all devices. The scan task can be pre-programmed to appropriately file or send a scanned document when the scan is executed.

One embodiment of the present invention is a control method of an information processing apparatus, the method including: a specification step of specifying notification contents; and a notification step of performing, based on at least one of a number of line feeds included in the specified notification contents and a number of characters included in the specified notification contents, processing for notifying the specified notification contents by a predetermined notification method, wherein the predetermined notification method is a notification method of displaying, after a first portion of the specified notification contents is displayed and the display of the first portion is terminated, a second portion different from the first portion of the specified notification contents.

A tandem type image forming system includes a first image forming apparatus, and a second image forming apparatus connected in series to the first image forming apparatus and located on a downstream side in a sheet conveyance direction with respect to the first image forming apparatus. The tandem type image forming system has a controller which shortens a second sheet interval when conveying a plurality of consecutive sheets from the first image forming apparatus to the second image forming apparatus than a first sheet interval when conveying the plurality of consecutive sheets from the second image forming apparatus to a post processing apparatus connected to the second image forming apparatus.

A processing device includes a reception unit, a processing unit, and an output unit. The reception unit receives a process designated by a user. The processing unit performs the process received by the reception unit. The output unit outputs the process to an external apparatus capable of executing the process received by the reception unit. When the reception unit receives multiple processes, a process that is included in the multiple processes and in which an output from the processing device has to be obtained is performed in the processing device, and at least a part of a process that is included in the multiple processes and in which an output from the processing device does not have to be obtained is output to the external apparatus by the output unit.

Provided is an image forming system in which a plurality of image forming apparatuses are connected through a network, the image forming system including a control unit that controls the image forming apparatuses, wherein when a plurality of image forming apparatuses output a job requested in an arbitrary image forming apparatus, the control unit compares image quality parameters, such as a tone, a density balance, and a line width, in the image forming apparatuses, selects image forming apparatuses that have image quality parameters similar to each other and that can output the job, and causes the selected image forming apparatuses to output the job.

A print system includes a client device, plural mobile printers, and a server device. The client device issues a print instruction in accordance with a user operation. The plural mobile printers each receive a print instruction and move to a destination indicated by the print instruction so as to perform printing at the destination. The server device selects a mobile printer which will perform printing based on a print instruction issued by the client device, in accordance with selection standards including judgement standards for judging whether or not it is necessary to distribute a print instruction over plural mobile printers or to transfer a print instruction from one mobile printer to another mobile printer.
