INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An information processing system transmits and receives sound data through a switching equipment. The information processing system includes: a transmitting end image forming apparatus that has a facsimile function to transmit communication sounds through the switching equipment; a receiving end image forming apparatus that has a facsimile function to receive the communication sounds through the switching equipment; a controller that generates a sound recording start command to start a recording of the communication sounds, and transmits the sound recording start command to the receiving end image forming apparatus; and a sound recorder that starts the recording of the communication sounds in the receiving end image forming apparatus when the receiving end image forming apparatus receives the sound recording start command.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An area indicating a progress status of processing for all of the plurality of documents is divided into individual areas indicating a progress status of processing for each of the plurality of documents, and a progress status of processing for each corresponding document is displayed in the individual areas obtained by the division.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELECTIVE SENDING, DELIVERY OR RECEIVING OF FAXES THROUGH COMPUTER BASED NETWORKS BASED ON A DESTINATION ON A PUBLICLY SWITCHED TELEPHONE NETWORK
Embodiment of systems and methods for the sending, delivery or receiving of faxes are disclosed herein. In particular, certain embodiments include a fax connector that may be deployed at users' sites, and a fax registration system that may be deployed remotely from these users' site. The fax connector can be accessed at a user's site over a computer based network in order to perform functions associated with faxing, including sending, receiving and obtaining status on faxes. The fax connector deployed at a sending user's site communicates with the fax registration system to obtain destination data associated with a recipient user's fax connector and transmits the fax to the destination fax connector over the computer based network based on the destination data obtained from the registration system. The fax can then be presented to the recipient at the recipient user's site.

Non-transitory computer readable medium storing communication program for setting of a communication protocol and communication device
A non-transitory computer readable medium stores a communication program for causing a computer to execute a process for performing a function, the process including: verifying, when detected that a type of a target communication device is changed, setting details which are previously prepared by changing setting of a communication protocol based on the setting details which are previously prepared for the type of the target communication device and communicating with the target communication device; and applying the changed setting of the communication protocol when verified that no communication error is detected during the verification.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a display control unit, a generation unit, and a notification unit. The display control unit displays a device for executing a particular function on a display device. The displayed device includes separate webpages and the separate webpages include a webpage for setting to make the particular function usable. In response to a user selecting the device displayed on the display device, the generation unit generates a uniform resource locator (URL). The generated URL represents the webpage for setting to make the particular function usable. The notification unit notifies the URL generated by the generation unit to a web browser included in the information processing apparatus.
IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND NON-TRANSITORY READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
An image processing system includes a portable terminal and an image processing device that wirelessly communicates with the portable terminal. The portable terminal includes a first CPU that sends a connection request to the image processing device to request to establish a connection with the image processing device and that sends an execution start command to enable the image processing device to execute a job when the connection with the image processing device is established. The image processing device includes a wireless communication interface that establishes the connection with the portable terminal in response to the connection request from the portable terminal and a second CPU that receives the execution start command from the portable terminal, executes the job based on the execution start command in order of receipt, and terminates the connection with the portable terminal after the execution start command is received.
IMAGE MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE MANAGEMENT APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image management apparatus for managing an image includes a transmission unit configured to transmit an image analysis request to an image analysis apparatus for analyzing the image, a reception unit configured to receive an analysis result, including a result code, from the image analysis apparatus, a processing result determination unit configured to determine a processing result based on the result code, and a subsequent process determination unit configured to determine a subsequent process related to analysis of the image based on the processing result.
