Seed meter for a single-grain seeder

A pneumatic precision seed drill has a multiplicity of seeding hearts 1 for holding pivoting separating devices 3 exposed to a pressure difference between their inner space 21 and their exterior space 22. A multiplicity of holes 17-20 intended for the accumulation of seeds is arranged in the device 3. The separating device 3 is formed by a pair of separating plates 4, 5 connected to one another at their outer edge 38, 39 that are arranged offset in a tangential direction to one another to produce a spread seed row and are assigned to separate outlets 23, 24 for the discharge of the seed from the seeding heart 1 in the direction of the sowing coulter.

A single-grain sowing device comprising: a drum rotatable about an axis of rotation, a cavity formed in the drum, wherein an end face of the cavity is delimited by a sowing disc, in which multiple sowing holes are arranged on a notional circular path at a distance to each other, a body arranged in the cavity, rotatable about an axis arranged at a distance and parallel to the axis of rotation, with one part of the surface thereof resting against the sowing disc such that, when the sowing disc rotates, same temporarily seals a respective passed sowing hole on the inside, wherein the body can be rolled out on an outer casing surface surrounding the cavity, and a pressure spring, wherein the pressure spring presses the body against the casing surface.

METERING SYSTEM FOR AN AGRICULTURAL MACHINE
20180279545 · 2018-10-04 ·

A metering system for a row unit for individual dispensing of grains comprises metering devices having a chamber for carrying grains, whereby a defined pressure level in the chamber is higher than ambient pressure. At least two metering elements establish a border to the chamber, whereby the metering elements are arranged within the housing so that they can be turned and the metering elements consist of cut-outs arranged along a curved path for picking up grains. At least one grain dispensing area is intended, which is defined by the chamber and the metering elements. The grain dispensing area includes a seed inlet element for transporting separated grains to a seed metering pipe to dispense the separated grains into a furrow, whereby a pressure application device is arranged at the seed inlet element or the seed metering pipe, to produce an air stream for the acceleration of the grains.

Singulating meter

A singulating meter includes a seed disc with seed apertures rotates in a vertical plane through a seed reservoir. A horizontal seed tube has an inlet adjacent to the top of the seed disc and the seed apertures move along a seed aperture path toward the inlet. Pressurized air flows into the tube inlet, and through each seed aperture as it rotates upward out of the seed reservoir pushing a seed into each seed aperture which seed then moves along the seed aperture path through about 180 degrees of rotation to a release position at the top of the path where the seed is carried horizontally into the seed tube. An ejector pushes debris out of the seed apertures into the seed tube. An alignment guide moves the singulator element of the meter into the operating position where same is magnetically secured.

LOW OPERATING TORQUE PNEUMATIC SEED METERING DEVICE

A pneumatic metering unit, which operates with vacuum pressure to dispense monograin seeds. Particularly, the pneumatic dispenser subject matter of the invention operates with low applied torque, while maintaining tightness in the vacuum chamber and keeping the working pressure constant, without variations or fluctuations due to the action of the seal, beyond the normal variations, due to the nature of the work, within the operating pressure threshold. In this sense, the reduction of necessary moving parts that could suffer jamming, as well as the implementation of an axial action spring that holds the seal in contact with the dosing plate in a constant way, regardless of the conditions and material characteristics of the seal, stand out.

DUAL SEED METERING DEVICE

The present invention refers to a dual seed metering device for seeds, grain or other granulate materials, powered by direct drive. More specifically, the present invention refers to a dual seed metering device for sowing machines, driven by a single electric motor of the annular type, with a hollow shaft, which comprises two chambers or seed reservoirs, each being loaded with seeds of different types, the device being capable of selectively sowing seeds from one reservoir or the other, wherein selection of the type of seed is instantaneous and does not require stopping the equipment nor require manual mechanical adjustments.

ROW UNIT FOR A SEEDING MACHINE WITH PNEUMATIC SEED LOADING

A row unit for a seeding machine includes a seed reservoir and a seed meter assembly having a metering member with a seed side facing the seed reservoir and a non-seed side opposite the seed side. The metering member is operable to selectively move seeds from the seed reservoir. A pump provides a pressure differential between the seed side and the non-seed side for adhering the seeds to the metering member. A conveyor has an inlet for receiving the seeds and an outlet configured to discharge the seeds from the seeding machine. The conveyor includes a belt movable from the inlet to the outlet. A pneumatic seed displacer includes a nozzle disposed adjacent the metering member for concentrating air. The nozzle is configured to eject the air towards the metering member for directing the seeds from the metering member to the conveyor.

SEED PLANTING APPARATUS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A seed meter includes a seed disc rotatable in a direction of rotation. The seed disc has a plurality of seed apertures defining a circular path as the seed disc rotates and on which seeds from a seed source are entrained. A singulator is disposed along to the circular path. The singulator has a plurality of outer lobes and a first orientation lobe located downstream of the outer lobes. As the entrained seeds rotate along the circular path, the first orientation lobe contacts the entrained seeds to change their orientation. In some embodiments, the first orientation lobe may be disposed to remove excess seeds from the apertures and a second orientation lobe may change the orientation of the entrained seed.
