Printing plate segment mounting system and method
A method for mounting one or more printing plate segments on a carrier sheet. The method comprises importing a file into a computer associated with a mounting unit. For each printing plate segment, the file includes a printing plate segment identifier, information regarding alignment of registration marks relative to the carrier sheet; and image data corresponding to a characteristic pattern associated with each printing plate segment. A composite image depicting the image data corresponding to the characteristic patterns is then displayed on a display in the predetermined arrangement of one or more printing plate segment locations and orientations. A mounting unit and a printing system and computer readable media programmed with instructions for performing the method are also described.
Method for reproducing images and image-processing apparatus using the method
A method for reproducing images comprises the steps of: obtaining 1.sup.st to N.sup.th scan images in order, where N is a positive integer greater than 2; processing the 1.sup.st to N.sup.th scan images into 1.sup.st to N.sup.th document images and obtaining sizes of the 1.sup.st to N.sup.th document images; and performing an ordered document typesetting according to an ordered accumulated size of the 1.sup.st to N.sup.th document images to generate image data corresponding to one or multiple output pages. An image-processing apparatus is also provided. Thus, it is possible to prevent the waste of printing a small-size document image on a large-size sheet, and the user can obtain the order of documents according to the order of the output pages. So, an instinctive and environment protective copying technical solution can be provided, and an output result can be further adjusted.
TABLET PRINTING APPARATUS AND TABLET PRINTING METHOD
According to one embodiment, a tablet printing apparatus includes: a conveyer configured to convey a tablet along a line; an applicator head including a plurality of nozzles arranged in a direction crossing the conveyance direction of the tablet conveyed by the conveyer, configured to perform printing on the tablet by ejecting a liquid from the nozzles; and a controller configured to control the ejection of the liquid from the nozzles of the applicator head. The length of an array of the nozzles in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction is equal to or longer than the length of the tablet in the direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction. The controller is further configured to control switching of a nozzle used for printing on the tablet among the nozzles by a plurality of sections determined in advance.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a scanner and a control unit. The scanner reads an image formed on a sheet, generates image data at a reading resolution, then stores the image data in a storage unit at a recording resolution. The control unit combines a reading direction image with the stored image data to generate synthesized image data, then records the synthesized image data in the storage unit. The control unit determines a position and size for the reading direction image in a synthesized image corresponding to the synthesized image data based upon the reading resolution and recording resolution.
DIGITAL CAMERA WITH PRINTER
A digital camera with a printer is a digital camera with a printer and includes a communication unit that communicates with a digital camera with a printer that is another apparatus, and an image composition unit that generates a composite image in which a first image captured by the digital camera with a printer that is an owned apparatus and a second image captured by the other apparatus are composited, in which the communication unit transmits the composite image to the other apparatus. A user of the other apparatus can also obtain the composite image. Accordingly, the composite image can be enjoyed by capturing images using a plurality of cameras.
Mapping a user's selection for a finishing job to subsystems of an imaging device
Disclosed is a novel system and method to enables users to map a user's intent finishing selections for a finishing job to each subsystem, e.g., device, protocol, ADF, and finisher unit, of an imaging device. The presently claimed invention creates distinct perspectives and a way to map between perspectives. The distinct perspectives include intent orientation, a print protocol, ADF, copy/scan/fax platen, device, and finisher unit. Through use of novel transformation for automating image rotations to dramatically reduce errors with understandable and repeatable correct outcomes. The formal algorithmic and mathematical approaches disclosed in the present invention makes it easier to describe subsystems of an imaging device. The software implementation using this novel approach eliminates the need for conditional logic based programming customized for each imaging device and its various subsystems.
IMAGE INSPECTION APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING IMAGE INSPECTION PROGRAM
An image inspection apparatus includes a processor configured to: divide a read image obtained by reading a printed image and a reference image representing an original shape of the printed image into plural regions having the identical shape, respectively; set a movement direction of the region for each of the divided regions of the reference image according to a feature of the reference image in the region; and inspect a deviation between the read image and the reference image for each of corresponding regions of the read image and the reference image by moving the region of the reference image in the movement direction which is set for the region.
Device, process execution system, process execution method, and non-transitory recording medium
A device, a process execution system, a process execution method, and a non-transitory recording medium. The device requests an information processing system to perform a second process using result of a first process executed by the device, displays on a display, result of the second process acquired from the information processing system, and receives a request for the device to execute the first process again.
Image processing apparatus and image processing method
In accordance with an embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes an image reading section configured to read an original document and generate image data, the image data corresponding to the original document or a part of the original document. The image processing apparatus further includes a control panel including a document area for displaying a plurality of images, the plurality of images including an image which corresponds to the image data. The control panel is configured to receive input designating the image corresponding to the image data and at least one other image from the plurality of images. The image processing apparatus also includes a controller, which in response to an instruction, generates an aggregation image including the image corresponding to the image data and the at least one other image from the plurality of images.
System and method for storing interrelated image information in a print job file
A method and system for creating a printing plate from a vector format image file having image and non-image areas. A boundary in vector coordinates is identified via a user interface that defines each image area corresponding to an image patch. The image file is raster image processed (RIPped) to create RIPped image information associated with the vector coordinates corresponding to the image patches. The RIPped image information and associated vector coordinates are processed to create RIPped image patches, register marks attached to each RIPped image patch, and the RIPped image patches with register marks and corresponding vector coordinates stored in a processing file. The system includes a computer memory, an interface for providing the image file, a user interface, and a computer processor configured to perform the method.
