Image reading apparatus, image reading system, image reading method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program
A control portion performs a predetermined detection process on a first image from a first reading portion and a second image from a second reading portion. When the detection process on the each image is successful, the control portion performs, based on a value of an image processing variable specified from a detection result, predetermined image processing on the each image, When the detection process on the image of one side fails, a value of an image processing variable for the image of one side is specified based on a value of an image processing variable specified from the detection result for the image of the other side for which detection is successful. Based on the specified value of the image processing variable, image processing is performed on the image of one side.
Image forming apparatus
A reading portion generates an original image including an image of a document sheet. A first document sheet end detection portion, in a case where the thickness of the document sheet is equal to or greater than a threshold value, identifies a peripheral edge shape of the document sheet by detecting a shadow portion that occurs at a peripheral edge portion of the document sheet in the original image. A second document end detection portion, in a case where the thickness of the document sheet is less than a threshold value, identifies the peripheral edge shape based on a specification by the user. A document sheet size determination portion determines a size of the document sheet according to a result of shape identification by the first document sheet end detection portion or a result of shape identification by the second document sheet end detection portion.
Designated region projection printing
A system determines an object-design for a three-dimensional model of an object. The object-design may exhibit a design continuity. The system breaks the object-design in to spatial patterns corresponding to the discrete surfaces making up the outward surface of the object. The system then generates flattened patterns by projecting the spatial patterns into a two-dimensional plane. The system prints the flattened patterns on to designated regions of material sheets in an orientation that preserves the design continuity of the object-design. The regions may be extracted from the sheets and then joined at their edges to form a cover for object that exhibits the continuity of the object design.
Image processing apparatus and image forming apparatus for synthesizing a reading direction image with image data generated from a scanned sheet to determine reading direction of a sheet
According to one embodiment, an image processing apparatus includes a scanner and a control unit. The scanner reads an image formed on a sheet, generates image data at a reading resolution, then stores the image data in a storage unit at a recording resolution. The control unit combines a reading direction image with the stored image data to generate synthesized image data, then records the synthesized image data in the storage unit. The control unit determines a position and size for the reading direction image in a synthesized image corresponding to the synthesized image data based upon the reading resolution and recording resolution.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus acquires first control data regarding generation of first rectangular image data that includes a whole of a document area corresponding to a document within a reading area of read image data. The image reading apparatus acquires second control data regarding generation of second rectangular image data that does not include a background area not corresponding to the document within the reading area of the read image data and includes at least a part of the document area.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes: an input device that inputs a document image; and a controller, wherein the controller removes a streak from the image by a first method, removes a streak from the image by a second method that differs from the first method, and executes crop processing on the image from which the streaks have been removed.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming apparatus is configured to arrange a plurality of pages, including a first page and a second page adjacent to the first page, in print data, without providing a margin between adjacent pages in the plurality of pages. The image forming apparatus includes a changer configured to change at least one of a position or an angle of the second page, such that a color of a first edge portion region of the first page and a color of a second edge portion region, adjacent to the first edge portion region, of the second page, satisfy a predetermined condition.
CONTROL DEVICE AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A control device includes a processor configured to: instruct a document reading apparatus that reads a document at a first speed to read image data of the document; and control an image output device that outputs an image to a medium at a second speed higher than the first speed such that the image data of the document starts to be outputted to the medium after reading is started and after a wait time depending on a position at which an additional image starts to be composited when it is determined that reading is finished has elapsed.
Image processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for image processing
There is provided an image processing apparatus. A generating unit that generates preview image data representing a document read by a reading unit. A display controller that controls a display such that the display displays a partial image which is an image represented by the preview image data and is positioned in a specific area which is a predetermined partial area, as an upright image.
Transforming document elements for modified document layouts
Methods and systems disclosed herein relate generally to systems and methods for transforming document elements in response to modifications to a layout of a document. A layout-modification application identifies, from a first document having a first document layout, a first set of measurements of a document element and a first location of the document element within the first document. Based on an aspect-ratio difference between the first document layout and a second document layout, the layout-modification application selects a set of transformation rules that specify, for the document element, a second set of measurements and a second location within a second document. To select the particular set of transformation rules, the layout-modification application uses the determined aspect-ratio difference. The layout-modification application applies the selected set of transformation rules to the document element.
