A method for detecting a blockage includes a sensor that identifies blockage as a function of the detected mechanical vibration.

A particle delivery system of an agricultural row unit includes an inner particle belt having a base and a plurality of flights extending outwardly from the base. Each pair of opposing flights of the plurality of flights is configured to receive a particle from a particle metering and singulation unit, and each flight is configured to rotate relative to the base. The particle delivery system includes an outer particle belt having a plurality of apertures, where each flight of the plurality of flights extends through a respective aperture of the plurality of apertures, and the outer particle belt is configured to drive rotation of the flight relative to the base as the inner particle belt and the outer particle belt rotate, such that rotation of the flight relative to the base accelerates the particle toward a trench in soil.

The holes may define a seed path when the rotational disk rotates. The seed meters may also include a sealing structure that is positioned and configured to inhibit seed leakage from the seed meter. The sealing structure may define a seed containment chamber. Various other related methods, systems, and devices are also disclosed.

Device and method for adjusting a signal for an object detector

An object counting device adjusts a signal to account for noise to improve object counting accuracy. A controller receives an electromagnetic radiation (e.g., light) intensity signal from radiation detectors and determines that its value is within a voltage threshold, thereby indicating that no object is passing through the radiation. The controller determines a derivative of the signal and that the derivative is less than a derivative threshold level for at least a predefined time. The controller then updates a base noise floor value to be the value of the radiation intensity signal to account for particles within a path of the electromagnetic radiation to improve an object counting accuracy. In some embodiments, the processor can scale the received radiation intensity signal in accordance with the updated base noise floor value.

Methods and related systems for automatically calibrating seed meters

In one aspect, a calibration method for a seed meter may include controlling an operation of a singulator to apply an initial aggressiveness setting for the singulator. The method may further include controlling the seed meter to rotate a seed transport member of the seed meter relative to a seed chamber of the seed meter containing a plurality of seeds. The method may additionally include performing a calibration cycle, which may include monitoring a first parameter indicative of a number of occurrences of seed multiples as the seed transport member rotates, iteratively adjusting the aggressiveness setting from the initial aggressiveness setting as the first parameter is being monitored, and when the first parameter crosses a first threshold, recording the associated aggressiveness setting as a minimum aggressiveness setting for the singulator.

The system includes a controller configured to receive feedback from the particle flow rate sensors, to determine a real-time flow rate of the granular product in the secondary distribution lines, to determine if a near-plug condition is occurring in at least one secondary distribution line based on the real-time flow rate, and to automatically provide a control signal to alter one or more operating parameters of the pneumatic conveyance system when the near-plug condition is occurring to resolve the near-plug condition.
