IMAGE READING APPARATUS AND METHOD, WITH A MOVABLE LIGHT REFLECTING SURFACE
An image reading apparatus includes an image capturing module for capturing an image of a document, a light source, a movable light reflecting surface having a white color, a driving module for moving the light reflecting surface into a first position at which the light reflecting surface reflects light from the light source and a second position at which the light reflecting surface does not reflect light from the light source, and a control module for controlling the driving module to move the light reflecting surface. The control module determines the second position by moving the light reflecting surface by a predetermined quantity from the first position determined based on an image obtained by the image capturing module.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS WITH A CAM TO MOVE A LIGHT REFLECTING SURFACE
An image reading apparatus includes a light source and a movable light reflecting surface provided to be capable to move to a first position to reflect light from the light source. The image reading apparatus includes a cam to move the light reflecting surface and having a first portion, a driving module for providing a driving force, and a transmission member for rotating the cam with the driving force provided by the driving module, the transmission member having a second portion, wherein the transmission member moves the light reflecting surface to a predetermined position by rotating the cam, and by bringing the second portion into contact with the first portion to hold the light reflecting surface at the predetermined position when there is no driving force.
IMAGE READING DEVICE
An image reading device includes: a sensor module having a light source and a plurality of sensors; a white reference plate; and an image processor that generates correction data to be used for shading correction and performs the shading correction on image signals, using the correction data. The light source is configured to switch between at least a first luminous intensity and a second luminous intensity lower than the first luminous intensity. The image processor acquires intermediate data by causing the plurality of sensors to acquire an image signal of the white reference plate illuminated with the second luminous intensity, generates black correction data, based on the intermediate data, and performs the shading correction, using the black correction data, so that a density unevenness, in an image, caused by interference between image signals from the plurality of sensors.
PRINTER THAT PERFORMS SHADING CORRECTION AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
A printer includes a discharge unit, a first printing unit disposed along a sheet conveying path extending from the discharge unit and configured to print an image on a first sheet while the first sheet is conveyed from the discharge unit to the first printing unit and then to the discharge unit, a second printing unit disposed farther from the discharge unit than the first printing unit along the sheet conveyance path and configured to print an image on a second sheet while the second sheet is conveyed towards the discharge unit therethrough, a scanning unit disposed along the sheet conveying path between the discharge unit and the first printing unit, and configured to scan a surface of the first sheet, and a control unit configured to perform a shading correction of the scanning unit using the second sheet as a white reference.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading apparatus is provided with an identification information reading unit (reading unit, NFC reader, and identification information acquisition unit) which acquires identification information by reading the identification information from a section to be read at which identifiable identification information is recorded for each individual carrier sheet and which is provided at a joining section of the carrier sheet in which two transparent sheets for pinching an original document are joined at a portion of a peripheral edge portion; and a processor which performs a process which is associated with the identification information read by the identification information reading unit.
IMAGE READING DEVICE
An image reading device has an image processor that generates correction data to be used for shading correction and performs the shading correction using the correction data. The image processor generates intermediate data with a predetermined density level, generates intermediate data in different positions in the sub-scanning direction based on image signals of a first reference plate and a second reference plate disposed in the different positions, generates first and second black correction data based on the respective intermediate data, generates black correction data according to the sub-scanning direction based on both the black correction data, and performs the shading correction using the black correction data in the respective positions in the sub-scanning direction.
Color measurement device, image forming apparatus, electronic equipment, color chart, and color measurement method
A printer moves a color chart relative to a spectrometer that carries out spectral measurement on the color chart. The color chart, which is a color measurement target of the printer, includes a color patch and a white portion that is positioned in a first position and a second position. The first position and the second position interpose a color measurement position, in which the color patch is disposed, along a predetermined direction. The printer acquires measured values by carrying out spectral measurement for the color measurement position, the first position, and the second position, determines a reference value corresponding to the color measurement position based on the measured values of the first position and the second position, and determines a color measurement result of the color patch based on the measured value of the color measurement position and the reference value.
Image reading device
A control unit performs a reading operation in a first mode in which a document on a document stand is read by moving a carriage which includes a reading portion, and in a second mode in which a document which is transported by a document transport unit is read using the carriage which is located at a reading position. The device includes a first white reference plate which is arranged in a first white reference reading position which is a standby position in the first mode, and a second white reference plate which is arranged on a side opposite to the first white reference plate by interposing a reading position in the second mode therebetween in the sub-scanning direction.
