Provided is a file viewing system including: a comparison unit that compares biometric information of a comparison target person with biometric information of a person associated with an electronic file; and a viewing prevention unit that performs a process for preventing viewing of the electronic file based on a result of a comparison by the comparison unit.

Output devices or systems, such as televisions, speakers, projectors, or output controllers, are herein disclosed and enabled for wirelessly receiving digital content from a digital content service or from an information apparatus. The disclosed output device includes wireless communication circuitry and an interface. To set up the output device for receiving and playing the digital content, the output device first receives, via the interface, security information, and then establishes a wireless local area network connection. Subsequent to having established the wireless local area network connection, the output device connects to a server over a network, using the wireless communication circuitry, for downloading and installing software applications or components for upgrading or modifying capabilities of the output device. Thereafter, the output device is setup for receiving the digital content from the information apparatus and from the digital content service using the downloaded and installed software applications or components.

An information processing apparatus comprises a detection unit detecting a moving body around the information processing apparatus and a distance to the moving body; a first image capturing unit having a first image capturing range; and a second image capturing unit having a second image capturing range, and performs authentication of the authentication target person based on captured image data. It controls so as to perform authentication based on image data captured by the first image capturing unit, and if the detected distance becomes shorter than a first distance and the authentication is not possible, it controls so as to perform authentication based on image data captured by the second image capturing unit.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to acquire data, an instruction for a process in which the data are used, and biological information on a user who provides the instruction, and execute the process in accordance with a condition under which a time before the process is completed is shorter, when the biological information indicates that the user is in a specific psychological state, than a specific psychological state under a condition determined in advance.

An exemplary embodiment of the present inventive concept provides a display device including: a display unit including a plurality of pixels disposed on a display area; a display controller configured to control the display unit; a sensor including a plurality of first sensing electrodes and a plurality of second sensing electrodes disposed in the display area; and a sensor controller configured to recognize a touch of a user inputted into the sensor in a touch sensing mode and to recognize a fingerprint of the user inputted into the sensor in a fingerprint sensing mode, wherein the sensor controller changes a mode to the fingerprint sensing mode when no touch is inputted for a predetermined time period in the touch sensing mode and changes the mode to the touch sensing mode when authorization on a fingerprint inputted into the sensor is succeeded in the fingerprint sensing mode.

An image processing apparatus of one embodiment includes an image processing unit and a controller. The controller receives biometric information for a user for a logon operation and re-orders user record entries in a table when a predetermined condition occurs. Each record entry in the table includes reference biometric information in association with user information. The re-ordering of the entries is based on user information stored in the user record entries. After the re-ordering of the user record entries in the table, the controller performs an authentication operation that includes comparing the received biometric information to reference biometric information in the re-ordered user record entries of the table until a match is determined.

There is provided an information processing apparatus in which voice operation is enabled, the information processing apparatus including: a voice input device that accepts voice input for voice operation; and a hardware processor that: sets an inputted condition as a job; identifies a content of voice operation based on a voice inputted to the voice input device, and reflects the content of the voice operation in setting of the job; returns the job set by the hardware processor to an initial setting condition; identifies a user by performing voice print authentication; and changes a time until a setting condition of the job is returned to the initial setting condition by the hardware processor, between a case where a user who has uttered the voice inputted to the voice input device is changed in the voice print authentication and a case where the user is not changed.

An image processing apparatus includes: an apparatus information generator, an authenticator, and a job controller. The apparatus information generator generates apparatus information including apparatus identification information. The authenticator performs non-contact user authentication with a communication terminal by using communication without the Internet or by capturing image information. The job controller causes the communication terminal whose user has been authenticated by the authenticator to acquire the apparatus information by using communication without the Internet or by providing the apparatus information as image information. The job controller causes an apparatus corresponding to the apparatus information to execute a job on a basis of the apparatus information transmitted from the communication terminal via the Internet and setting information related to job execution.

An authentication device includes: an image capturing unit that captures an image of a person around an apparatus including the authentication device; an authentication unit that performs authentication by a facial image captured by the image capturing unit; and a selection unit, when the image capturing unit captures facial images of plural persons, that selects a facial image of a person who is determined to have a high possibility of using the apparatus from the facial images of the plural persons.
