A method for steganographic processing and compression of image data with negligible information loss, wherein said image data comprises noise and information. The method includes the steps of: acquiring image data to be processed and/or compressed, storing and/or transmitting the image data, and preparing the acquired image data for compression. The preparation step includes determining an input noise model and corresponding parameters adapted to reflect noise created by an image sensor used to capture said image data, and removing, with negligible information loss, noise from the acquired image data by use of the input noise model such as to produce noise-reduced image data.
Using middleware for generating vector graphics imaged security documents
A method is provided of digitally imaging a secure portion and a non-secure portion of scratch-off-coating protected documents of at least one game using middleware. The method includes: (a) generating the secure variable indicia in non-vector raster format; (b) generating vector graphics to be imaged on physical document locations; (c) assigning the secure variable indicia in a non-vector raster format to documents in and shuffling the documents throughout a print run; and (d) linking via middleware the secure variable indicia in the non-vector raster format to associated vector graphics variable indicia to be digitally imaged on the documents and to generate vector graphics-formatted data for each document in the print run. The secure variable indicia assignment and shuffling are executed by non-vector raster game generation software output that is reinterpreted by the middleware to produce related vector graphic output for the secure variable indicia.
Imaging device including pixels having individually settable incident angle directivity
The present technology relates to an imaging device and method, and an image processing device and method that can more easily suppress unauthorized use and tampering of an image. An object is imaged by an imaging element including a plurality of pixel output units that receives incident light entering without passing through either an imaging lens or a pinhole, and that each outputs one detection signal indicating an output pixel value modulated by an incident angle of the incident light, and a detection image obtained by the imaging and formed by a detection signal obtained in the pixel output units of the imaging element is output without associating with a restoration matrix including coefficients used when a restored image is restored from the detection image. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an imaging device, an image processing device, an information processing device, an electronic device, a computer, a program, a storage medium, a system, and the like.
Image forming system, image forming apparatus, and document server apparatus
A system includes an image forming apparatus, a first document server apparatus, and a key server apparatus, the image forming apparatus being configured to determine whether document data is private or public, when the document data is determined to be private, then determine a level accessible to the document data, and transmit level information indicating the level and the document data to the first document server apparatus, the first document server apparatus being configured to receive the level information and the document data from the image forming apparatus, generate a document ID for identifying the document data, store the document data in association with the document ID, transmit the document ID to the image forming apparatus, determine an accessible user ID that identifies a user accessible to the document data based on the level information, generate a public key and a private key used to encrypt the document data.

QUANTUM COLOR IMAGE ENCRYPTING METHOD AND CIRCUIT BASED ON MODIFICATION DIRECTION
Disclosed are a quantum color image encrypting method based on modification direction and corresponding circuit, respectively providing quantum modular circuits design for a parallel adder, a parallel subtractor, a comparator, a cyclic shift add 1, and a cyclic shift subtract 1; and based on these modular circuits, circuit for implementing quantum color image steganography is provided. From the complexity analysis of implementing quantum circuit for color image steganography, it is seen that for a two-dimensional quantum color image with 2.sup.2n pixels and the R, G, and B channels of which are respectively represented by q number of quantum bits, the steganography algorithm is an efficient transformation method, and the circuit complexity is O(q.sup.2+n), which can hardly be achieved by classical geometric transformation. The disclosure is applicable for many practical image processing applications, e.g., transmitting secrete data via a public image; they all need an effective and secure steganography algorithm; besides, the present disclosure is significant in perfection and applications of image processing theories.
