A print data semantic analysis system may comprise a print data handler and a database. The print data handler may include a semantic analyzer and a computer. The semantic analyzer may include a semantic identifier and a semantic operator. Semantic pattern(s), rule(s), and/or semantic category or categories may be stored in mutually associated fashion at the database. The print data handler may be a printer driver having a page description language (PDL) generator. The print data handler may be a raster image processor (RIP), a print server, or a printer having a PDL interpreter. The database may take the form of source code, function(s), lookup or other such table(s), and/or any other suitable format(s). The database may be a function table containing function(s) incorporating the semantic pattern(s), rule(s), and/or semantic category or categories.

A method for sharing a digital image between a first user terminal and at least one second user terminal over a communications network. The method includes: displaying on the second terminal a degraded image, the degraded image being obtained from a first image by digital processing of the first image, the digital processing visually concealing content of the first image; and following detection of an interaction of a user with the screen of the second terminal: defining a zone of interaction of the degraded image depending on the location of the interaction on the screen; obtaining a portion of the first image corresponding to the determined zone of the degraded image; and displaying on the screen of the second terminal the portion of the first image in the place of the corresponding area of the degraded image, throughout the duration of the interaction of the user with the screen.

The image forming apparatus according to this disclosure is an image forming apparatus that outputs paper on which an image is formed. The image forming apparatus includes an imaging unit, a user-recognizing unit, a person-recognizing unit, and a control unit. The imaging unit performs imaging of the surroundings. The user-recognizing unit recognizes a user of the image forming apparatus. The person-recognizing unit recognizes persons in imaging data obtained by the imaging unit. The control unit performs confidentiality-protected output of outputting the paper so that the image on the paper is shielded when the person-recognizing unit recognizes another person who is other than the user in the imaging data.

An information processing apparatus specifies a cutting off-target area in an image object included in input drawing data, changes the input drawing data so that the specified cutting off-target area in the image object is not drawn, and generates a print job based on the changed drawing data.

A visual privacy system unilaterally blocks rolling shutter cameras by providing a periodically interrupted ambient light source imposing bright and dark bands on the image yet at a frequency imperceptible to human observers in the environment. Communication of the modulation pattern to authorized cameras allows unaffected imaging in these regions by authorized individuals.
