A method including: providing an image; encrypting an encryption region of the image, the encryption region is less than the whole region of the image; keeping a remaining region of the image unencrypted to provide a partially encrypted image; and storing the partially encrypted image.

Improved techniques for video watermarking are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a processor circuit and a watermarking module for execution by the processor circuit to generate disabled video content through modification of a video content item, send a common stream comprising the disabled video content, and send a private content key for the disabled video content, the private content key defining a watermark for the video content item. An information processing apparatus in accordance with the present disclosure includes an identification number detecting circuit configured to detect an identification number included in data to be printed, a conversion information obtaining circuit configured to obtain conversion information, associated with the identification number in the data to be printed, from association information associated with an item information displayed to be associated with the identification number in the data to be printed of an item, an information conversion processing circuit configured to convert the identification number, included in the data to be printed, according to the conversion information obtained from the association information by the conversion information obtaining circuit, and a print data generating circuit configured to generate print data for instructing an image forming apparatus to print an output image that includes the converted identification number.

A method and device for securing image data detected by an electronic device is provided. The electronic may include a camera. In one aspect, a method includes: capturing image data using the camera; based on the captured image data, detecting a security marker displayed by a display device, the security marker being periodically displayed to be undetectable by a human eye that is viewing the display device; and in response to determining that the security marker is detected by the electronic device, applying a security policy to the image data captured by the electronic device.

A system for previewing protected media comprising a touchscreen display, a processor, and a memory having executable instructions stored thereon that when executed by the processor cause the processor to receive an original image from a server over a network, generate a blurred copy of the original image, overlay the blurred image over the original image, detect user interaction on the touchscreen display, determine location of the user interaction, and apply a mask on a section of the blurred copy of the original image corresponding to the determined location of the user interaction.

Systems, methods, and computer program products to perform an operation comprising receiving image data provided by an image sensor, identifying, based on a facial recognition algorithm applied to the image data, a first face in the image data, identifying a plurality of rules applicable to capturing images based on the image data, and upon determining that a first rule of the plurality of rules restricts depiction of the first face in an image: performing a predefined operation to restrict depiction of the first face in the image data provided by the image sensor, and subsequent to performing the predefined operation to the image data, generating an image for output based on the image data, wherein the generated image does not depict the first face.
