Method and apparatus for color print management
In a color printing environment, functions for printing color management are dissociated. An abstraction layer is also provided to facilitate setting and evaluation of all factors relating to color print and prediction.
Methods and apparatus for using wide area networks to support parking systems
A customer premises parking system including one or more cameras and wireless communications transmission capability is described. The presence of a vehicle with a license plate at an entrance or exit of a parking area is detected and one or more high resolution images are captured and time stamped. A license plate portion of the HD image is captured and stored. The license plate number and corresponding time is determined and communicated using a wide area wireless network. The HD license plate portion of the image is processed to produce a low resolution version of the license plate image which is segmented and processed into fragments which are transmitted via the wide area network using available transmission opportunities. A high resolution version of the license plate portion is stored at the premises where the parking facilitate is located and can be retrieved via a cellular wireless interface in the event of a dispute or discrepancy with regard to the detected and reported license plate number. From the time stamps associated with entrance and exit images of license plates the amount of time and/or date at which a vehicle was present at the parking garage is determined and the vehicle owner billed for the use of the parking facility.
Color expression conversion apparatus for understanding color perception in document using textual, expression and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
A color expression conversion apparatus includes a color expression conversion rule storage unit that stores a rule for converting a textual expression of a specific color into another textual expression, and a color expression conversion control unit that converts a textual expression of a color included in document data into another textual expression in accordance with the rule.
Display apparatus and control method thereof
Disclosed is a display apparatus. The display apparatus obtains first characteristic information, which is provided according to a plurality of sections of content and corresponds to an image characteristic of a section to be displayed among the plurality of seconds, from a signal received in the signal receiver, obtains first image-quality setting information for setting image quality of the section based on the obtained first characteristic information, obtains second characteristic information corresponding to an image characteristic of a frame included in the section from the frame, obtains second image-quality setting information for setting image quality of the frame based on the obtained first image-quality setting information and the obtained second characteristic information, and controls the display to display an image of the frame, the image quality of the frame being set based on the obtained second image-quality setting information.
Instant ticket redundancy via multi-chromatic indicia with photoreceptor sensitivity to different wavelengths of light
A redundantly printed security-enhanced document, printing method, and system for better ensuring that the meaning of the information imparted by variable indicia printed by redundant printing indicia on a document protected by a removable Scratch-Off Coating (SOC). By printing the variable indicia with multiple colors, redundancy and integrity of the intended indicia is achieved relative to the perception of human eye photoreceptor cones. The redundantly printed document, methods, and systems enhance the overall appearance of the redundantly printed document, and reduce possible consequences resulting from misprinted variable indicia.
METHODS FOR COLOR-BLINDNESS REMEDIATION THROUGH IMAGE COLOR CORRECTION
A method includes receiving information about a color blindness of a viewer and an electronic display; receiving information about an input image including input R, G, and B values for pixels composing the input image; transforming each pixel's input values to corresponding x and y values in a CIE color space; identifying which of the pixels are within a filter area in the CIE color space; adjusting a color of the pixels that are within the filter area away from a confusion line for the color blind person to provide a corresponding color-modified pixel; generating a color-modified image composed of the color-modified and original pixels; and displaying the color-modified image with the electronic display.
PRINTER
A printing system includes: a scanner configured to scan a document to generate a document image; a determination section configured to automatically determine a first color in accordance with a situation; a specification section configured to cause a user to specify a color with recommendation of the first color; and a print section configured to perform two-color copying on a medium by using a color specified by the specification section.
Image formation system capable of starting execution of calibration with timing to start insertion of interleaving paper
An image formation system includes an image forming apparatus and an inserter. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming device, a conveyance device, and a control device. The control device functions as a controller and an executor. The controller allows the inserter to insert an interleaving paper between sheets of printed material at an insertion start timing specified by a print job. When the plurality of calibrations include a second calibration capable of being completed within an interleaving paper insertion time required to insert the interleaving paper or a third calibration capable of being completed within a total time of the interleaving paper insertion time and a predetermined additional time, the executor executes the second calibration or the third calibration in time with the insertion start timing.
PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing apparatus causes a printer engine to print first tone correction patches of a first color on a first sheet and to print second tone correction patches of a second color being different from the first color on a second sheet, generate correction information based on a color measurement result of the first tone correction patches and the second tone correction patches printed on the first sheet and the second sheet, respectively, as measured by a sensor, and correct image data using the correction information. In the generation of the correction information, in a case where there are more than a predetermined number of sheets of a size being different from a predetermined size between the first sheet and the second sheet, the correction information using the color measurement result of the first tone correction patches and the second tone correction patches is not generated.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a print execution section and a controller. The print execution section includes: a printing head having nozzles arranged in a first direction; a head driver that drives the printing head to discharge ink from the nozzles thereby forming dots on a printing medium; and a movement mechanism that moves the printing medium relative to the printing head in any of the first direction and a second direction intersecting with the first direction. The controller obtains a piece of object image data, generates, by using the object image data, a plurality of pieces of dot data indicating formation states of the dots for pixels, and prints a printing image by causing the print execution section to execute discharge of the ink and movement of the printing medium by use of the pieces of dot data.
