Electronically pulsing agricultural product with seed utilizing seed transport mechanism

A system for electronically pulsing agricultural product with seed includes a seed transport mechanism affixed to a seed planter row unit. A seed sensing device senses dispensation of the seed from the seed transport mechanism. An agricultural product conduit dispenses agricultural products into the seed transport mechanism to provide dispensing of the products with the seed as the seed and product exit the seed transport mechanism. A control interface electronic system dispenses a particular quantity of product with the seed in the seed transport mechanism. A pulsing valve dispenses products from the conduit when the seed sensing device senses the dispensation of the seed. A seed release speed is provided which is proportional to the ground speed of the seed planter row unit to minimize seed tumbling and optimize accurate placement of seed and product at varying ground speeds of the row unit.

AIR SEED METER DISC WITH FLOW DIRECTING POCKETS

A seed metering system, for use on a row crop planter, selects individual seeds from a seed reservoir and dispenses the seeds singularly at a controlled rate. A direct drive seed metering system includes a seed disc having a plurality of suction apertures with a recessed pocket adjacent to an aperture. The recessed pockets act to agitate seeds in the seed reservoir and to direct seed flow towards the apertures. A seed path relief system provides for allowing the placement of the seeds such that they are released from an outer edge of the seed disc. An adjustable seed singulator is mounted adjacent to the face of the seed disc where inner and outer blades are adjusted radially to compensate for the singulation of various seed sizes and shapes. The seed disc is driven via engagement of an internal gear with the external gear of an independent drive motor.

DEVICE FOR SEED INOCULATION

A device for the inoculation of seeds is attached to a seed meter or a seed box on a planting machine. This is done to carry out the inoculation and treatment of seeds at the same time that they are being planted. The device has a reservoir where the inoculant is placed and then subsequently taken by the pump to a mixture chamber. At a top of the mixture chamber is a nozzle, which is located at an opposite side of where the seeds leave. They leave from the bottom of the device. There is a drive axle and a group of gears that move and give force to the blades that mix the seeds in the fluid located in the inner part of the chamber. The chamber is connected to the seed distributor disc and the flow of seeds is based on the seed distributor disc's consumption.

Metering disk of a distribution device for granular material

Disclosed is a rotating conveyor disk of a metering or sowing unit having a plurality of recesses for transporting grains. The conveyor disk rotates within a housing of a metering unit for granular material, such as seeds, fertilizer, or the like. The conveyor disk has at least one recess at the outer periphery for the reception of at least one grain to be separated via at least one revolution of the conveyor disk. In the interaction with a groove-shaped profile of the inner cover surface, the at least one recess forms a conveyor pocket for conveying one grain or a plurality of grains in the direction toward an outlet opening extending approximately tangentially to the inner cover surface. The at least one recess is located at the outer periphery of the conveyor disk in an insert element that is detachably secured in the disk.

A system for providing seed-specific placement of fluid includes at least one nozzle assembly configured to spray fluid towards seeds planted within a furrow. The at least one nozzle assembly includes a valve. The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the valve. The controller is configured to control operation of the valve such that fluid is sprayed at least one of on or adjacent to each seed within the furrow. The system further includes a detector communicatively coupled to the controller and configured to detect a location of each spray relative to a location of a respective one of the seeds within the furrow.
