Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium that provides an enhanced synchronization framework. One of the methods includes a primary and a second device that receive configuration information which identifies one or more actions to be performed by the secondary device when it receives specified pulses of a sequence of pulses from the primary device. The primary device transmits a sequence of pulses. The primary and the secondary device receive a particular pulse from the sequence of pulses. The secondary device determines whether the particular pulse satisfies one or more predetermined criteria and generates an instruction based on the determination.

A system and method of synchronizing auxiliary content to a video stream is disclosed that uses a block of bit-vectors linked to a target frame in a video steam. The block of bit-vectors consists of a multi-frame sequence of image bit-vectors. The video stream and block of bit-vectors are transmitted to an end user device that uses the bit-vector block to uniquely identify the target frame. The target frame is used to synchronize auxiliary content to the video stream.

A controller controls multiple camera modules, and processes video images captured by the multiple camera modules. The controller is configured: (i) to output a frame synchronization signal FSYNC to each of the multiple camera modules; (ii) to receive frame data and a transmission synchronization signal SYNC that is synchronized with the frame data; (iii) to process the multiple items of frame data thus received; and (iv) to acquire a time difference between the corresponding frame synchronization signal and the corresponding transmission synchronization signal for each camera module, so as to adjust the timing of the frame synchronization signal according to the time difference.

Imaging system and synchronization control method

An imaging system includes first and second light source devices configured to irradiate a subject with lights having different wavelength bands, first and second imaging devices configured to image the subject, and first and second video processing devices configured to process an imaged video of the subject imaged by either of the corresponding imaging devices and to output the processed video to an output unit. The first and second light source devices alternately perform lighting in synchronization with a frame period of the imaged video or an integer multiple thereof based on a genlock signal. The first imaging device performs imaging in synchronization with the lighting of each of the first and second light source devices. The second imaging device performs imaging in synchronization with the lighting of each of the first and second light source devices.
