Image processing apparatus and method, and image capturing apparatus for predicting motion of camera
An image processing apparatus comprises: an input unit configured to input an image signal obtained by photoelectrically converting, by an image sensor, an optical image incident via an optical system including optical image stabilization unit; an acquisition unit configured to acquire optical image stabilization control information obtained by the optical image stabilization unit; and a motion of camera prediction unit configured to predict a motion of camera based on information obtained by eliminating influence of optical image stabilization by the optical image stabilization unit from the image signal input from the input unit based on the optical image stabilization control information.
INSTRUMENT QUALIFIED VISUAL RANGE (IQVR) IMAGE PROCESSING ARTIFACT MITIGATION
Disclosed are techniques for image processing that mitigate artifacts that otherwise appear when an IQVR camera moves with respect to a scene between image frames.
MOTION COMPENSATION METHOD AND MODULE, CHIP, ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIA
The present disclosure relates to a motion compensation method and module, a chip, an electronic device, and a storage medium, to improve the problem of haloes easily appearing on the edges of moving objects.
MOTION VECTOR DETECTION APPARATUS, MOTION VECTOR DETECTION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A first motion vector detection unit 50-1 detects a motion vector on the basis of self-motion data Dm of a sensor unit 15 and depth image data S which is generated by the sensor unit 15 and of which the definition is enhanced by a depth processing unit 30. A second motion vector detection unit 60 detects a motion vector on the basis of captured image data Isp detected by the sensor unit 15. A motion vector detection and merging unit 70 merges the motion vector detected by the first motion vector detection unit 50-1 with the motion vector detected by the second motion vector detection unit 60. Even in a case where it is difficult to detect a motion vector on the basis of captured image data owing to the presence of a flat portion or a dark portion in an image, it is possible to accurately detect a motion vector on the basis of the self-motion data Dm and the depth image data S.
MOTION VECTOR GENERATION APPARATUS, PROJECTION IMAGE GENERATION APPARATUS, MOTION VECTOR GENERATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A technique that automatically adjusts a motion given to a projection target using a perceptual model is provided. A motion vector generation apparatus includes a first parameter generation unit that generates a first parameter that is a parameter for scaling a motion vector based on a perceptual difference between a projection result reproduction image which is an image that is obtained when a projection target onto which a projection image obtained based on the motion vector has been projected is photographed and a warped image which is an image generated by distorting an image obtained when the projection target is photographed by a perceptual amount of motion perceived when the projection result reproduction image is viewed, and a motion vector reduction unit that scales the motion vector using the first parameter.
Storage System and Method for Object Monitoring
A storage system and method for object monitoring/anticipation in surveillance systems are provided. In one embodiment, a storage system is provided comprising a memory and a controller. The controller is configured to identify positions of an object in a plurality of frames of video data provided by a video capture device; determine a rate of movement of the object based on the identified positions; and based on the determined rate of movement of the object, provide a suggestion to the video capture device to dynamically modify an encoding bit rate of the video data to improve video quality of the object. Other embodiments are provided.
Control apparatus, image capturing apparatus, lens apparatus, image capturing system, control method, and storage medium
A control apparatus includes a motion vector detector configured to detect a motion vector, a calculator configured to calculate angular velocity information of an object based on the motion vector and an angular velocity detected by an angular velocity detector, an acquirer configured to acquire a result of an image stabilizing control in capturing a still image based on the angular velocity information of the object, and a controller configured to control a display unit so as to display the still image and information of the result of the image stabilizing control superimposed on the still image.
SCENE CACHING FOR VIDEO CAPTURE DATA REDUCTION
A method for processing a video stream includes obtaining frame data of a current frame of the video stream, determining frame difference data based on a comparison of the frame data of the current frame and scene cache data for a previous frame of the video stream, the scene cache data being stored in a scene cache for the video stream, determining, based on the frame difference data, regions of the video stream to be re-sampled at a higher resolution than the frame data, obtaining re-sampling data for the determined regions, updating the scene cache data based on the obtained frame data and the re-sampling data, and providing the re-sampling data to a processor to update an analysis scene cache for the video stream.
DECOMPOSITION OF RESIDUAL DATA DURING SIGNAL ENCODING, DECODING AND RECONSTRUCTION IN A TIERED HIERARCHY
Computer processor hardware receives a first set of adjustment values. The first set of adjustment values specify adjustments to be made to a predicted rendition of a signal generated at a first level of quality to reconstruct a rendition of the signal at the first level of quality. The computer processor hardware processes the first set of adjustment values and derives a second set of adjustment values based on the first set of adjustment values and a rendition of the signal at a second level of quality. The second level of quality is lower than the first level of quality.
