The present invention discloses a signal correction method and apparatus, and a terminal, and relates to the signal processing field. The method includes: receiving an input signal, where the input signal is an audio signal or an image signal, the input signal includes signals that are corresponding to multiple units respectively, and any one of the units is a sampling point of the audio signal or a pixel unit of the image signal; performing texture detection on a target unit to obtain a first signal; extracting a high frequency component of a signal of the target unit to obtain a second signal; performing multiplication processing and non-linear processing on the first signal and the second signal to obtain a sharpness correction signal of the target unit; and performing sharpness correction on the signal of the target unit according to the sharpness correction signal.

The following provides a system and method to display images on a display screen (e.g. via a display panel or by projection) and the processing of image data therefor. In one aspect, the system implements a luminance retargeting method for altering the perceived contrast and/or colours of an image to match their appearance under different luminance levels. In another aspect, the system may provide a method for transforming an image locally within a sub-area of an image to adjust image contrast for display by a display device. In yet another aspect, the system may provide a method for transforming an image of a first luminance to adjust a perceived colour hue thereof for display by a display device according to a second luminance. In yet another aspect, the system may provide a method for transforming an image having a first luminance to adjust a colour saturation thereof for display by a display device having a second luminance.

To enable a high-quality image process while reducing power consumption, an image processing apparatus is characterized by acquiring a plurality of image frames constituting a moving image; detecting a feature quantity of the image frame; determining the number of image frames to be used for the image process of the image frame, based on the detected feature quantity; and performing the image process to a process-object frame, by using the image frames corresponding to the determined number of image frames.

Provided is a method and apparatus for determining a level of transmission distortion and compensating for an analog video signal. A video signal reception method and apparatus may determine a distortion level of an analog video signal using an equalizing pattern signal included in a video signal, and may compensate for the analog video signal based on the distortion level.

An analog video signal received through a cable may be distorted due to the cable and noise during its transmission. Provided is a method and apparatus for determining a level of transmission distortion and compensating for an analog video signal. A video signal reception method and apparatus may determine a distortion level of an analog video signal using an equalizing pattern signal included in a video signal, and may compensate for the analog video signal based on the distortion level.
