INTELLIGENT ORCHESTRATION OF VIDEO PARTICIPANTS IN A PLATFORM FRAMEWORK
Embodiments of systems and methods for intelligent orchestration of video participants in a platform framework are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: process at least a first portion of a video workload using the processor; and in response to a change in context of the IHS, process at least a second portion of the video workload using an offload core.
Intelligent reframing
Intelligent reframing techniques are described in which content (e.g., a movie) can be generated in a different aspect ratio than previously provided. These techniques include obtaining various video frames having a first aspect ratio. Various objects can be identified within the frames. An object having the highest degree of importance in a frame can be selected and a focal point can be calculated based at least in part on that object. A modified version of the content can be generated in a second aspect ratio that is different from the first aspect ratio. The modified version can be generated using the focal point calculated based on the object having the greatest degree of importance. Using these techniques, the content can be provided in a different aspect ratio while ensuring that the most important features of the frame still appear in the new version of the content.
System, method and apparatus for macroscopic inspection of reflective specimens
An inspection apparatus includes a specimen stage configured to retain a specimen, at least three imaging devices arranged in a triangular array positioned above the specimen stage, each of the at least three imaging devices configured to capture an image of the specimen, one or more sets of lights positioned between the specimen stage and the at least three imaging devices, and a control system in communication with the at least three imaging devices.
PARALLEL COMPUTER VISION AND IMAGE SCALING ARCHITECTURE
Embodiments relate to an architecture of a vision pipe included in an image signal processor. The architecture includes a front-end portion that includes a pair of image signal pipelines that generate an updated luminance image data. A back-end portion of the vision pipe architecture receives the updated luminance images from the front-end portion and performs, in parallel, scaling and various computer vision operations on the updated luminance image data. The back-end portion may repeatedly perform this parallel operation of computer vision operations on successively scaled luminance images to generate a pyramid image.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ROTATION AND SWITCHING OF VIDEO CONTENT
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to define the location of a center point associated with each frame within a stream of image data. Metadata associated with the orientation, such as the pitch and yaw, of a camera is synchronized on a frame-by-frame basis with a related stream of image data. In connection with receiving the image data and the orientation data, the method defines a center point associated with a video frame images and transmits a control signal causing the reorientation of at least a subset of video image frames. In some example implementations, arising in the context of 360° video streams, the rotation of the head of a viewer of virtual reality content or other 360° video streams may be taken into account when defining the location of a center point.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED PLACEMENT OF A SEAM IN A PANORAMIC IMAGE DERIVED FROM MULTIPLE CAMERAS
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to generate a panoramic view derived from multiple cameras and automatically place a seam in that panoramic view in a computationally efficient manner. In regards to a method, images captured by at least two cameras are received. Each camera has a different, but partially overlapping field of view. The method determines a seam location and scale factor to be used when combining the images together to minimize errors at the seam between the two images. In some example implementations, the seam location and scale factor may be recalculated in response to a manual or automatic trigger. In some additional example implementations, motion associated with an image element near a seam location is detected, and the seam location is moved in a direction opposite that of the direction of motion.
AUTOSTEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY DEVICE
An autostereoscopic display comprises a pixelated display panel comprising an array of single color pixels or an array of sub-pixels of different colors and a view forming arrangement comprising an array of lens elements. The pixels form a square (or near square) grid, and the lenses also repeat in a square (or near square) grid. A vector p is defined which relates to a mapping between the pixel grid and the lens grid. Regions in the two dimension space for this vector p are identified which give good or poor banding performance, and the better banding performance regions are selected.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
An electronic device, comprising a processor which is configured to reconstruct in real-time a preview image of compressed sensing image data.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT
An information processing apparatus configured to paste a full-spherical panoramic image along an inner wall of a virtual three-dimensional sphere; calculate an arrangement position for arranging a planar image closer to a center point of the virtual three-dimensional sphere than the inner wall, in such an orientation that a line-of-sight direction from the center point to the inner wall and a perpendicular line of the planar image are parallel to each other, the planar image being obtained by pasting an embedding image to be embedded in the full-spherical panoramic image, on a two-dimensional plane; and display a display image on a display unit. The display image is a two-dimensional image viewed from the center point in the line-of-sight direction in a state in which the full-spherical panoramic image is pasted along the inner wall of the virtual three-dimensional sphere and the planar image is arranged at an arrangement position.
AUTOMATED RADIAL IMAGING AND ANALYSIS SYSTEM
A system for imaging and analyzing a vehicle may include a frame having a central passage, wherein the central passage is configured and dimensioned to allow a vehicle to pass through. The frame may include, for example, a pair of substantially vertical legs connected at the top by a cross member, wherein the legs and cross member define the central passage. One or more bollards may be positioned in front of and/or behind the frame. A plurality of cameras within the each leg, cross member, and/or bollard may be directed toward the passage to record video images of a passing vehicle. Integrated LED array panels may provide bands of light to aid in detection of surface anomalies, for example by simultaneous analysis of symmetrical sides of the vehicle.
