An image display device includes a tuner configured to receive a RF broadcast signal; a display; a first input configured to receive a first image signal input from a first external device connected to the image display device; a second input configured to receive a second image signal input from a second external device connected to the image display device; and a controller coupled with the display, the first input and the second input. Further, the controller is configured to display, on the display, a plurality of icons including a first icon and a second icon. In addition, the first icon includes a first default image identifying the first input and the second icon includes a second default image identifying the second input, change the first default image to a first video image currently being played on the first external device and corresponding to the first image signal received from the first external device in response to the first icon being selected if the first external device is connected to the image display device, and change the first video image back to the first default image in response to the second icon being selected.

A method of processing media data. The method includes determining, for a conversion between the media data and a media data file, that a preselection element includes an indicator, wherein the indicator indicates that a purpose of the preselection element is for providing a picture-in-picture experience where a supplementary video appears to be overlaid on a target picture-in-picture region in a main video; and performing a conversion between the media data and the media data file based on the indicator. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are also disclosed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HIGHLIGHTING CONTENT WITHIN MEDIA ASSETS
20230007336 · 2023-01-05 ·

Systems and methods are described herein for highlighting objects with a primary content that are likely to be of interest to a user viewing the primary content. More particularly, when the system receives a segment of primary content to be displayed on a user equipment device for consumption, the system analyzes the received segment to identify an object within the received segment. The system then checks a database storing supplemental content to determine whether supplemental content associated with the identified object is available. When supplemental content associated with the identified object is available within the database, the system modifies the received segment of the primary content to highlight the identified object and displays the modified segment of the primary content on the user equipment device for consumption.

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for controlling a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera. A video stream is provided by the PTZ camera. The video stream includes a main image and a smaller picture-in-picture overlay. The main image and the overlay show the same view. The overlay has both a higher frame rate and a lower resolution compared to the main image. A movement control instruction is received, by the PTZ camera, in response to an evaluation of at least one of the main image and the overlay.
