The disclosed methods and systems provide for the registry and authorization of media on a media player. The method involves maintaining a registry of registered media. Media to be played by the media player is compared to the maintained registry of registered media. If media is registered, authorization it then required to play the registered media.

VIEWING SYSTEM, BROADCAST RECEPTION DEVICE, PORTABLE TERMINAL, PROGRAM RECORDING AND VIEWING METHOD, AND VIEWING METHOD OF RECORDING PROGRAM

When a user inputs an operation of recording a broadcast program into a broadcast reception device, the broadcast reception device outputs, by a display video output unit of the broadcast reception device, a recording setting screen selecting a first recording method of recording program related information and not recording a video content of a broadcast program or a second recording method of recording the program related information and a video content of the broadcast program about a first program. When the first recording method is selected, the program related information is recorded and the video content of the broadcast program is not recorded. When the user inputs an operation of playing back the first program into the broadcast reception device, the broadcast reception device communicates with the server, receives the video content of the first program from the server, and outputs the video content by the display video output unit.

It is an object of the invention to realize automatic video generation displaying in an easily understandable manner the state of brush stroke as effectively maintaining immersion feeling happened by looking-around operation during reproduction of the image production of an omnidirectional image. A stroke information group is associated with valid line-of-sight information from a reproduction sequence recording the line-of-sight information and the stroke information group. The number of frames between a pair of line-of-sight information is made constant. When the line-of-sight moves from a line-of-sight A via a line-of-sight B to a line-of-sight C, the stroke information group corresponding to the line-of-sight B is reproduced in a range from “a frame of a center between the line-of-sight information A and B” to “a frame of a center between the line-of-sight information B and C”.

Playback device

A playback device of the present disclosure includes a processing unit and a control unit. When having acquired identification information, the control unit calculates, on a playback time axis and based on the acquired identification information, a first point-of-time on the playback time axis, the first point-of-time being a point-of-time turning back a current point-of-time on the playback time axis by a first duration-of-time satisfying a first predetermined condition, and newly sets the calculated first point-of-time in the processing unit. The processing unit generates a video in which frames from the first point-of-time are arranged in chronological order, based on at least a part of acquired 6DoF content, a position and an orientation of a set viewpoint, and the first point-of-time newly set by the control unit.

Method and apparatus for resource utilization in a source device for wireless display

This disclosure relates to techniques for resource utilization in a source device when transmitting video data in a Wireless Display (WD) system. A method for wireless display of compressed content may comprise determining, by a source device, a decoding capability of a sink device, receiving, by the source device, a request to display compressed content at the sink device in a wireless display session, and in the case that the decoding capability of the sink device allows for decoding of the compressed content, transmitting the compressed content from the source device to the sink device, whereby transcoding the compressed content is avoided in the source device.
