A surveillance camera system includes a camera and an image recorder. The image recorder receives a plurality of images captured by the camera and selectively encrypting the plurality of images captured by the camera to generate an encrypted file.

A digital forensic image verification system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes an imaging device having a imaging unit configured to produce an image, a first hash value generator configured to generate a first hash value for the image, and a transmitting unit configured to transmit the image and the first hash value; and an image storage device having a receiving unit configured to receive the image and the first hash value from the imaging device, a second hash value generator configured to generate a second hash value for the image, and a controller configured to compare the first hash value and the second hash value with each other.

A media playback method and device that relate to the field of computer technologies are provided. The method includes turning on a camera to detect the number of human eyes within a shooting range to determine an initial number of viewers when a user performs a media playback activity, detecting, at a set interval, the number of human eyes to determine a current number of viewers, and encrypting a playback image when the current number of viewers is greater than the initial number of viewers. Certain embodiments provide a set top box, comprising: a processing entity configured to obtain data for a channel stacking switch, to obtain a security data element and to formulate a message for the channel stacking switch by combining the security data element with the data; a communications interface configured to send the message to channel stacking switch. Other embodiments provide a channel stacking switch, comprising: a communication interface configured to receive a message from a set top box; a processing entity configured to determine whether or not the message is legitimate and to take an action that depends on whether or not the message is legitimate. Still further embodiments provide a satellite signal receiving system comprising a channel stacking switch and at least one set top box in secure communication with the channel stacking switch.
