BLOCK-BASED POWER EFFICIENT TIMING ENGINE FOR SMART DISPLAY PANELS
20190089927 · 2019-03-21 ·

The techniques of this disclosure include power optimal multiplexing of host and/or panel random access memory (RAM) pixel data for display scan out. Two aspects include systems and methods of bypassing the memory on the smart display panel in certain circumstances and refreshing the display from the host: hardware enhancement for an optimal block-based timing engine for smart display panels and an optimized frame-based timing engine scan out for smart display panels. The host may determine whether to bypass the memory of the smart display based on the size of high refresh rate regions and/or offline data for non-updating regions from the host and RAM respectively. By bypassing the panel RAM during circumstances where large areas of the display are updated rapidly, display power usage and on-panel RAM wear out may be reduced.

CONTENT PROVIDING METHOD AND APPARATUS, AND CONTENT PLAYBACK METHOD
20240244299 · 2024-07-18 ·

The present disclosure provides a content providing method and apparatus for distributing a video content in which audio or captions are added to an original content that enable a content consumer to exclude the audio and captions added to the original content and restore the original content. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a plurality of video objects into which a video is divided based on cuts, a plurality of audio clip objects included in the video, a plurality of caption clip objects included in the video, video object attribute information, audio clip attribute information, and caption clip attribute information are stored in a format of a video content frame having a predetermined structure and transmitted to a receiving device, so that the receiving device may reproduce the video content by selectively combining only necessary content elements.

AUDIO TRICK MODE
20240236263 · 2024-07-11 ·

Various embodiments of apparatus, systems and/or methods are described for independently controlling an audio stream relative to a video stream in audio trick mode. In one example, an audio stream and a video stream is received, where the audio stream comprises frames that correspond to corresponding frames of the video stream. The audio and video streams are played from a first time to a second time at a first speed. An input to time shift the audio stream independent of the video stream is received, and after receiving such, the audio stream is time shifted to the first time. Then, the audio stream may be replayed from the first time to the second time at a second speed different from the first speed.

Image providing system and method for controlling same

An image providing system capable of quickly providing a plurality of different cropped images is disclosed. The image providing system acquires position information about a position of a user designated by the user. The image providing system determines a range of an image that was captured by an image capturing unit, the range corresponding to the position information as a cropping range, before the image capturing unit starts a series of image capturing in which the image capturing unit captures a plurality of images. After the series of image capturing is started, the system applies cropping that cuts out a part of a captured image based on the cropping range. During the series of image capturing, the system provides a cropped image to which the cropping has been applied in a way in which a user can obtain the cropped image.

Conditional camera control via automated assistant commands

Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can control a camera according to one or more conditions specified by a user. A condition can be satisfied when, for example, the automated assistant detects a particular environment feature is apparent. In this way, the user can rely on the automated assistant to identify and capture certain moments without necessarily requiring the user to constantly monitor a viewing window of the camera. In some implementations, a condition for the automated assistant to capture media data can be based on application data and/or other contextual data that is associated with the automated assistant. For instance, a relationship between content in a camera viewing window and other content of an application interface can be a condition upon which the automated assistant captures certain media data using a camera.

IMAGING APPARATUS
20190082116 · 2019-03-14 ·

The present disclosure relates to an imaging apparatus that images a subject and allows recording of moving image data. A setting unit of the imaging apparatus receives first setting for setting ON or OFF of display of level meter (201) on display unit (190) and second setting for setting ON or OFF of a mute function which is a function of recording a sound indicating silence. When a moving image is captured, a controller of the imaging apparatus is configured such that, if the display of level meter (201) is OFF in the first setting, and further, when the mute function is ON in the second setting, at least one of level meter (201) and mute display (202) is displayed in display unit (190).

System for creating a composite image and methods for use therewith
10230905 · 2019-03-12 · ·

A system includes a video device for capturing, at a viewing time, a first video image corresponding to a foundation scene at a setting, the foundation scene viewed at the viewing time from a vantage position. A memory stores a library of image data including media generated at a time prior to the viewing time. A vantage position monitor tracks the vantage position and generating vantage position of a human viewer. A digital video data controller selects from the image data in the library, at the viewing time and based on the vantage position data, a plurality of second images corresponding to a modifying scene at the setting, the modifying scene further corresponding to the vantage position. A combiner combines the first video image and the plurality of second images to create a composite image for display.

A system is provided that presents video content on an electronic device such that, when a user acts to dismiss the video content, non-video summary information or contextual material about the video content is automatically displayed in place of the video content. If, for example, the user skips a video advertisement before an informational payload of the video advertisement has been delivered, the informational payload can automatically be displayed in text format in replacement of the dismissed video advertisement. In some instances, the non-video summary information is displayed for a predefined interval, after which display transitions to a next media item. Additional user input during the predefined interval can trigger resumption of the relevant video content.
