Method of temporal resampling and apparent motion speed change for motion picture data
The present invention is a method of processing a sequence of frames from digital motion picture cameras to allow remapping of the time-base of the input frames to a new and possibly variable time-base in the output frame sequence. This invention provides a method that makes small adjustments to the user's specified positions to achieve optimal integer mapping from input frames to output frames in the integrated function. The present invention provides for an algorithm for frame rate resampling providing a method for determining the mapping of input frames to output frames and a method for smoothly ramping the mapping of input frames to output frames based on interactive user input and a method for optimizing the alignment of input frames to output frames such that during areas of constant speed the alignment is optimally centered on the frames and a method for computing the weighting function for averaging input frames to output frames and a method for handling negative values in the weighting function in regions of bright highlights.
GRAPHICAL OBJECT OVERLAYS FOR 360 DEGREE CAMERAS
An omnidirectional camera is disclosed that records spherical video associated with a particular focal direction while in motion. The omnidirectional camera may implement one or more sensors and location-determining components to facilitate the recorded spherical video being subsequently correlated to an orientation and location of the omnidirectional camera during recording in a time-wise fashion to provide several enhancements during playback. These enhancements include reorienting the spherical video to a new focal direction. Data derived from the one or more sensors and location-determining components may be further utilized to overlay graphical objects onto the spherical video during playback to provide additional feedback.
Athletic training method and system for remote video playback
A system or method for displaying a video segment recorded by a camera device on a display device disposed remotely from the camera device. Video segments may be transmitted over a network to a remote viewing location. Video segments sent from a plurality of camera devices may be compiled by a server and displayed on a single display device. Video segments may auto-scroll such that a user need not interact with this display device to begin playback of a video segment. The technology may be used for such purposes as an athlete reviewing videos captured by one or more coaches or spectators.
System, method, and program product for generating graphical video clip representations associated with video clips correlated to electronic audio files
Systems, methods, and program products for matching electronic audio files (such as songs) to associated electronic video work excerpts or electronic video clips from movies, televisions shows or advertisements in accordance with one or more sync licenses and generating and providing graphical representations of such video clips are disclosed.
Robust packet loss handling in recording real-time video
Improved systems and methods of video decoding and recording in real-time video communications for use in lossy network environments. The disclosed systems and methods can employ a plurality of wait time thresholds for retransmission of missing video packets, based at least on the processing performed on the respective video packets, such processing including video decoding in a real-time video communication between client devices, and video recording and storing in a video file. The disclosed system and methods can also adaptively perform error concealment on video frames in the bitstream domain prior to recording and storing encoded video frame data in a video file, based at least on estimates of the complexities of the respective video frames.
Commercials on mobile devices
Among other things, videos and commercials are downloaded to a mobile device for storage on the mobile device and later playout on the mobile device. The downloading includes downloading of metadata associated with the commercials and based on which the mobile device can select commercials for insertion into videos being played back to the user of the mobile device. The commercials to be downloaded are selected based on one or a combination of any two or more of the location of the user, the type of mobile device, and personally-identifiable information about a user of the mobile device.

Intelligent Dynamic Ambient Scene Construction
Systems and methods for controlling ambient lighting at a playback location during media playback entail generating an ambient light map for controlling ambient lighting in synchrony with the media during playback of the media. The ambient light map includes lighting directions as well as a time stamp or other facility for synchronizing execution of the lighting directions with the playback of the media. For intensity-only lighting, a grayscale ambient light map may be used. Other sensory inputs may also be controlled, such as scent, temperature and tactile input. Moreover, the user mood may be detected and may then be used to modify the ambient light map.
