Universal MoCA gateway splitter

A Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) gateway splitter that includes a directional coupler (including a first transmission path and a second transmission path), a gateway port and a cable television (CATV) input port each electrically connected to the first transmission path, and a MoCA port electrically connected to the second transmission path such that the MoCA port is isolated from the CATV input port and coupled to the gateway port. Multiple MoCA ports may be electrically connected to the second transmission path (e.g., via a resistive splitter). The second transmission path may be electrically connected to ground. The MoCA gateway splitter may include multiple (e.g., two or three) gateway ports, each electrically connected to the CATV input port via a directional coupler (and, e.g., one or more hybrid splitters). In those embodiments, each directional coupler may be electrically connected to the MoCA port(s), for example, via a common microstrip node.

There is a problem that video data cannot be relayed from a transmission device having an HDMI connector to a receiving device having a USB Type-C connector. In order to solve the above problem, each of a receiving device having an HDMI reception function unit and a relay device, such as a conversion cable for relaying video data from a transmission device, is made to have a function of determining the other devices. By performing switching of a terminator or a protection element between valid and invalid or performing signal connection switching based on the determination result of the function unit, the above problem can be solved. In addition, it is also possible to realize reverse insertion connection for reversing the video data transmission direction of the relay device.

DISTRIBUTED ACCESS ARCHITECTURE SYSTEM FOR CATV
20230037887 · 2023-02-09 ·

In one embodiment, a system includes a CATV node, a first device, and at least one micro distribution system. The CATV node transmits CATV RF signals to the first device, which converts the RF signals to optical signals. Each micro distribution system includes a micro node receiving the optical signals from the first device and converting the optical signals to RF signals. Each micro distribution system further includes at least two strings of taps independently coupled to the micro node and receiving the RF signals from the micro node. Each string of taps is terminated at an end by a low pass filter (LPF). For each string of taps, the received RF signals are passed from the micro node along the taps and blocked by the LPF, while a powering signal is passed along the taps and through the LPF.

The signal processing element (42) comprises a gain control element (44) acting on at least one level attenuator (46) and at least one equalizer (50).

Video Input Connector

The system may provide a one-stop-shop solution for accepting and integrating with almost any video output from a medical device that is typically used in a healthcare facility and sending the video signal to a streaming platform. The system may be configured as a box with a plurality of different types of video input ports, an output port configured for interfacing with an input port of a video streaming device and a port selector configured to indicate which of the input ports is providing video signals to the output port.

Entry adapter for a cable television network

Selected forwarding between serially chained devices

In described examples, a receiver includes a receiver input adapted to receive input data. A selector is coupled to an output of the receiver and is configured to generate a destination indication at an output of the selector. A switch is coupled to the receiver input. The switch is adapted to generate a first transmission at a switch local output in response to an indication of the selector output and the input data. The switch is further adapted to generate a second transmission at a switch system output in response to the input data. The switch local output is adapted to be coupled to a first destination node, and the switch system output is adapted to be coupled to a second destination node.
